Watched this with a bunch of friends with no expectations coming into it, and it absolutely met those expectations. This film does nothing interesting to me and in times kinda drags on with the more yappy scenes. While I do appreciate it tries to add an aspect of mystery to the story it's attempts just ends up messing up the pacing of it a little and I do find it to be a bit out of nowhere at times. However, credit where credit's due I did enjoy the more graphic scenes towards the end as it was the least dull part about the horror of the film and, I do appreciate the message the film tries to send. Besides, I can't be too harsh on the film as I did find it to be decently watchable and not too bad in the end.

To me this film doesn't stand out much from other zombie horror movies, it has all the typical characteristics of one but, I really appreciate the body horror of this film. It could be argued that it can be a bit over the top but the excessive gore imagery of it makes it a fun watch and, it what makes it not an absolute snoozefest film. One other aspect that I find interesting about this film is its dissection of human behavior and how it challenges how you think what really separates us from zombies. While the topic does get touched upon it doesn't really put much attention to it which admittedly, disappointed me slightly. All in all it's a decently fun watch for anyone who has the guts for it, as it is absolutely not for everyone.

A very stunning experience containing a beautiful and wide palette of emotions. Everything about this film is artistic, displays of a beautiful landscape, and an emotional and gorgeous score that accompanies it, yet the uneasing atmosphere of the film retains, getting more intense as the story progresses. Everything in the film screams beautiful, and stunning yet disgusting and unettling. A great performance by Florence Pugh drove it home, selling the main character's slow breakdown from her trauma. This film just puts you through a whirlwind of emotions. This film left me not knowing how to feel and I don't mean that in a bad sense in the slightest, it's an unforgettable experience for anyone who's into psychological horror.
