I have to say that I enjoyed the movie... I like John Cena a lot (he is in the category of "very likeable brutes, who can actually act well" like Bautista, Diesel, Johnson...) and I think Idris Elba is charm all over, so the duo was a good choice for this movie! Also, they took on very believable roles with solid performances.

The interactions between the two are performed with very well scripted dialogues, which adds to the rising engagement as the action develops.

The dialogues are, at times, deep and a little philosophical... there is line about "The Devil" which is BRILLIANT!

There are moments when the movie makes You think about real things. This is, in my opinion, super positive and just goes the show how well done this is. Care was put into the plot and script! WELL DONE! CONGRATUALTIONS, people!

It is a very good action movie, very worth watching!

So why am I giving it a low rating? For the same things I complain about in some of my reviews: Hollywood is being forced (I won't say by what movement, because I think that is the reason why some of my reviews are vetoed) to cast every ethnicity, every gender, every race, every religion... in every movie, and it's just... not good!

I don't get why Priyanka Chopra was cast in such a leading role, when You got much more talented people making "cameos"! What does she add to the movie?

What I want to say is that You should xcst people which fit the part! "Mission Impossible" is a good example: actors are cast by what they can contribute with, to the part! They cast the actors/actresses because their talent matches the requirements of that specific part. I just don't get why the female lead should be given an ethnicity...

Why was Sharlto Copley given a "flash" appearance, when the guy is super talented and could have given a lot more to the story?

Stephen Root's choice for the hacker was, in my opinion, a stroke of genius! I was super surprised with it, but he is EXCELLENT in the very few lines he gets... why not more of him?

Jack Quaid gave me the chills in one scene... he makes the exact same cheeky smile his father gave us in "Great Balls of Fire". I like Dennis Quaid a lot, and I am starting to like his son... another small part for someone who could have contributed a lot more to the movie. He was great in "Neighborhood Watch" and "Companion". He is a very good actor, on the rise, and I just hope to see him a lot more in the future!

The other negative thing is to make publicity to the Buñol (Village in Valencia) atrocity: the Tomatina, which consists of squandering more than 100 tons of tomatoes in a "food fight", just for kicks. Resources in this World are starting to be scarce... food is one of them. People in many countries (mainly in Africa) are dying everyday because they do not have access to ANY type of food whatsoever, and here are these people, throwing food at each other, just for fun. This reminds me of this: The 2008 G8 summit in Hokkaido, Japan, faced criticism for the extravagant, multi-course meal served to leaders while discussing the global food crisis. The summit, which was meant to address rising food prices and shortages, included a lavish dinner with delicacies like caviar, milk-fed lamb, and sea urchin. This stark contrast between the serious agenda and the opulent feast drew condemnation from charities and critics who pointed out the hypocrisy of leaders discussing global hunger while enjoying such an extravagant meal.

I think there were a lot better choices for this... there are many movies which "mask" ops in "El Dia de los Muertos"... SUPER GOOD pun there!!!! St. Patricks Day... any crowded event, in which You don't depict a very important resource being despised...

So... movie was great, story and context were good and relatable, acting was solid... BUT opening scene was unfortunate, casting misfired again and some people are there why?

Let me just start with the synopsis... whoever wrote "... she catches the eye of a mysterious, handsome stranger.", is either blind or failing miserably at trying to be funny.

I am really sorry, but the guy is hideous.

The moment he comes on, right there and then I knew I was being taken for, the proverbial ride, as the short description of what the movie is about, was a ruse.

All bad reviews are correct: the story misses narrative, there are many holes, it is unintelligible at points...

Again, I am all for people starting from somewhere and being given opportunities, but there should be some supervision, as there are some major goofs which would not be there if an experienced director / producer / gaffer, etc... had been present at the time. Let me just point out two, very obvious:

• (I have NOTHING AGAINST Sandi McCree, who I did not know existed until I saw her here) No airline hires 5 foot hostesses. I already made this comment in the "Fight or Flight" review. But in this case, apart from short, the lady almost does not fit the aisles... I APOLOGIZE AGAIN for pointing out someone's shortcomings (no pun intended), but there is no way, in the real world, this lady would be a hostess;
• Only two people (host and hostess) for a 9 seat per row jet airliner, even though there were few people? In one of the scenes, we see the hostess go through 4 different spaces in the airplane. There would be AT LEAST two different teams, one for first class and another for coach...

I admit that, in the end, when You get the whole story (which is not very difficult... I mean... I knew what was going at about 1/3 of the film) the layout makes sense, but no one, in their right mind (and she is there because, apparently, she is gifted), would take too long to know that nothing made sense there...

And when the revelation occurs, that is when You really see how untalented these actors are. Monotonic, no depth, no feeling, no emotion... there's nothing there! They are regurgitating the script like a kid would read out the shopping list for this mother at the mall... just plain, flat out inexistent deliveries from ALL the cast.

This is just bad, man... some movies are not good, but allow You to spend some time at home with family, relaxing, whatever.... this one doesn't...

Josh Hartnett on the side... I never saw much in him, but he plays the part. Belieaveable, not too cocky... OK!

But the rest... GOD!!! What were the casting agents on?!?!?!?

The super irritating, posh, arrogant and totally artificial Charithra Chandran... what gives?!?!?!?!

No airline in the world hires 5 foot 3 hostesses!!!!!!

I had never heard of this woman, and she is a very bad actress... I have seen better acting by Shopping Mall Santa Clauses!!!!!!

All the airline personel were given such horrible stereotypes...

If You liked "The Commuter" and "Bullet Train", DON'T WATCH this one!!!!!

Those were good, this one is bad, and the story is the same.
