This was the community theater version of Crystal Skull. The story must have been written to be a series. There is a bunch of cool ideas but as if it was written in a drug fueled frenzy. The hook never comes. The plot takes a shot at explaining something but it's essentially a warning shot. One of the biggest reveals in the movie is a throwaway line.
Please for the love of people in eastern Europe can we hold actors accountable for these horrible horrible accents? Why did her character need to be from Lithuania? Why did she need to 'have' an accent? Did she not have an accent coach? She would deliver lines flat like an ad read on tik-tok. Then suddenly remember that sometimes her character sounds like Checkov from Star Trek. Honestly if she was doing a Checkov impression she still did pretty bad because she forgot to have the accent half the film. She didn't have good material but she really didn't even try. Secondly is her character an assassin or a silly tik-tok kid? I feel like they used footage when the actors didn't know they were being filmed.
Miles did fine.
The film must have been a contract fulfillment because this was Argyle level bad.

I was hesitant but hopeful when I saw the casting, and I'm happy to say they exceeded all expectations. The pacing is just right, striking a balance that fits perfectly with a drama/thriller-lite genre. The story is both deep and engaging, and I never once felt like I was being strung along. The characters are cleverly crafted modern caricatures of the upper class in the area, and their portrayal becomes increasingly humorous as the story unfolds. The dialogue feels natural and helps bring the characters to life. The visuals are simple but effective, adding to the overall feel of the story without trying too hard.
