Congratulations, you just found a web page description of one of the best and most underrated Horror-Suspense movies ever made so far. First things first: Ordinary Zombie movies (I'm a huge fan of these too), like Dawn of the Dead or Night of the living Dead for instance are highly recommendable, but need always a lot of gore and violence to become a good entertainment. Nothing against that by the way... But this particular movie has something incredibly unusual: It has is at least as suspenseful as DOTD or NOTLD, but mainly works (you will see what I mean, if you really watch for that) with the really 'traditional' effects that the old Master Alfred Hitchcock used to use: light effects, the right music at the right time, and sometimes a little violence... And here it is: One particular scene, in which all this is expressed, is when Myra is about to figure out, what is happening to all the people in the little town (the scene with the dead girl); In the background, you see her assistant turning into a Mutant, and all you want to yell out is: Turn around, and get the h*** out of here... And then the next part: She sees him (watch for the dark background, and the real scary, inhuman, white face), they chase each other through the lab...she tries to unlock the door to safety but she doesn't make it.... I can tell you, I saw this movie at least 10 times with my friends, and some were really close of getting their pants wet.... It's NOT a shame in this movie; rather a compliment for the director, and set designers.... So, if you see this movie somewhere (it's currently not as a new Video available), GET IT...and decide for yourself, if the movie is really is ''bad'' as some guys claim...

This movie is the perfect entertainment for everyone who likes either ships, U-Boats and/or Frank Sinatra... Although the main story is nothing but a fantasy plot, the movie works out pretty well. Mainly because of Franky's outstanding performance and some interesting dialogue. Don't miss the 'crushing' climax...

This movie is perfectly shot; very good acting, pretty good special eff. and sinking scenes (although most of it was

taken of 'A Night To Remember', and restored in T.Color). For all who didn't notice: 99% of the ship close-ups were shot on the 'Queen Mary' in Long Beach,CA. To a previous comment: he's right, there's no real plot like you know them from all the other Titanic movies. The reason: This movie is based on the book by Lawrence

Beesley (in the picture played by David Warner); and in that novel is a perfect description of what really happened on April 14th 1912. And there was no story a la Jimmy Cameron on the ship; When you watch the movie: look for David Warner for 2 reasons 1)his outstanding acting and 2)(for all Jimmy Cameron's Titanic fans) to see 'Spicer

Lovejoy' (Hockley's nasty servant) playing a nice guy; His reward for being nice this time: he survives If you are interested in the subject Titanic (and NOT Leo

DiCaprio), you will enjoy this movie, which is my personal favorite after J.C.'S Titanic. Of course the spec. eff. are not that good on this one, but this version didn't cost $200.000.000 either.
