Yeah, yeah, the CGI was cool. But that was about it. AWFUL, truly AWFUL acting--Bridget Moynahan- WOW, one of the WORST screen performances I've ever seen, and Will Smith, playing his one and only note over and over again. Yeah, the robots climbing up the side of the building were cool, and the robot fight towards the end was cool, but what the hell did we have to sit through 2 hours of dreck for that?? Horrible. Just horrible. Was it populated solely by relatives and friends of the director and producers? All the $$ they have to spend on this stuff and this is the crap they come up with? What a pile of trash. I can't believe the same guy who directed Dark City came up with this.

I wonder if Isaac Azimov has stopped spinning in his grave yet.

God, she's bad. Julia is such a poor actress, and it only becomes more evident when she's in an ensemble such as this. She can't hold a candle to such actresses as Ms. Gyllenhaal or one of my favorites, Marcia Gay Harden. She looked and "acted" as though she was in another movie entirely. Her limited range only served to detract from the illusion offered by other more honest performances- giving the viewer moments of "oh, it's only a movie, isn't it?", whenever she was on screen. When is the movie going public going to see through the managed and spun perception of her "talent", and stop giving her free rein to suck all the money out of Hollywood that could be going to worthwhile projects? How the hell much does she pull down for a movie these days, anyway? What a waste. She's easily the female counterpart to that other great thespian, Keanu Reeves.

Whew! I was looking forward to seeing this film for its (I thought) wonderfully diverse content; there are far too few films with such subject matter and cast, but YIKES!

SO poorly written, SO poorly acted!! It made me so disappointed that the writer tried to fit every stereotype she could into her dialogue, scenes that were forced to fit in all the cliches, forced to fit in contrived "confrontations" and GOD-AWFUL ACTING!!! I don't know what happened to some of these actresses, I've seen many of them in other roles, and they've been very good, but it seems as though they all sank to the level of the film.

It's too bad that this will be held up as an example of Latina filmmaking, it will probably make other producers shy away from tackling content like this in the future.
