I liked Rami Malek in Mr. Robot, which was my main reason for this movie - plus spy movies. My rating is lower than anticipated, which I mainly blame on all the deep mumblings and the horrible closed captions of HULU - they were several minutes ahead of the spoken dialogue. Frustrating. (Additional lighting would've helped too!)

I love cooking shows - Top Chef, Master Chef, etc., which is why I thought I'd like this. I liked most of it. Animated "Chefy" almost made me quit this show - so annoying & silly. I liked the cooking challenges but found the "Reviews" section confusing & too fast to fully comprehend. I also didn't see the point of everyone having an Alias - Chef Donut, Chef Arugula, etc.. The White Elephant challenge was probably the best.... who knew it was possible to cook with a clothing steamer or iron?

If there's a Season 2: get rid of animated "Chefy", and still give everyone a printout of the reviews - all without aliases or names.

While watching this, I felt overwhelmed and confused, wishing I had read a book or two about Oppenheimer before seeing the movie. I was frequently lost by the jumping around in time - without anything to clarify what year it was. And all the scientists that he worked with! I kept hearing about the "Chevalier effect" which was apparently a bad thing, but I missed WHY was that bad?

And then there was the horrible interrogations of Oppenheimer's friends and family. There was so much in this movie that wasn't explained..... or it was and my brain was still trying to figure out what happened five minutes ago. And what year is it now (in the movie!) ????

Cillian Murphy was great. Robert Downey was great, and killed any memories of him being typecast as Iron Man. Matt Damon was more impressive than he's been in awhile. The test bomb exploding was good (not great... and it made me wonder about the fallout in 1945 - any health hazards to the workers?)

My brain still hurts. This is one 3 hour movie I know I won't be rewatching.
