In a dystopian alternate 1999, a former cop is forced to take part in a death race in which cars run on human blood as fuel.

Grace is a street racer on the open road whose car runs on....people. Arthur is a cop trying to make a better world everyday. They get thrown together into a race, an event from Los Angeles to Phoenix which the loser losing their lives. Along the way they encounter psychos, freaks and innocents. Arthur wants to do right, but the rules don't allow his moral code to exist. Grace finally convinces Arthur, it's a do or die race. They must band together or forfeit their lives. 1999. The Future. Water is scarce, gas is fifty bucks per gallon, and Arthur Bailey (Alan Richson) is the last good cop in Los Angeles, trying to make a difference. When he stumbles across an underground death race that pits psychos against each other in a gory road trip through America's dystopian heartland, he is forced to join forces with Grace d'Argento (Christina Ochoa), a dangerous femme fatale who wants to win the race at all costs. Together they must find a way to escape the clutches of the Blood Drive's God of the Stage, Julian Slink (Colin Cunningham) as they careen through a sci-fi landscape filled with monsters and mutants, cannibals and cults, Amazon women, killer clowns, mad scientists, and the occasional sex zombie. A theatrical re-edit of Blood Drive episodes "The F---ing Cop" and "Welcome to Pixie Swallow" which premiered at Hollywood's famous Egyptian Theater thanks to American Cinematheque.
