Hours after news that he has been hospitalized in Rome for heart-related reasons, Francis Ford Coppola assured fans he is doing just fine in a post Tuesday evening on Instagram.

“Da Dada (what my kids call me) is fine, taking an opportunity while in Rome to do the update of my 30 year old afib procedure with its inventor, a great Italian doctor – Dr. Andrea Natale! I am well!” the director wrote.

As first reported by local media, Coppola was hospitalized in Rome for mild heart arrhythmia shortly after the conclusion of his U.S. tour for his film “Megalopolis,” local Italian media reported Tuesday.

The six-time Oscar winner had scheduled the visit with Natale, his doctor of more than 30 years, while in Rome. Just before the procedure, doctors noticed the arrhythmia, and thus kept Coppola for observation, according to local media reports.

Kelley Mack, an American TV actress who appeared in AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” “9-1-1” and “Chicago Med,” died on Aug. 2. She was 33.

Her family reported in a statement that Mack died in her hometown of Cincinnati after a battle with glioma of the central nervous system.

Mack graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 2010, and earned a bachelor’s degree in cinematography from the Dodge College of Film at Chapman University in 2014. Matt Smith is finally getting his turn in the Star Wars galaxy.

The House of the Dragon star, who at one point was eyed to appear in 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, has been tapped to join Shawn Levy’s Star War: Starfighter, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Lucasfilm could not be reached for comment.

This is one of multiple villain roles, according to sources, with Levy still looking to cast a female antagonist that at one point had Mikey Madison eyed for the part. Ryan Gosling stars in Starfighter, which has a release date of May 28, 2027.

In 2018, Smith was reported to be joining the ninth Star Wars movie, but that role did not come to fruition. Journalist Josh Horowitz asked Smith on the Happy Sad Confused podcast about rumors the role was for young Palpatine, with Smith declining to comment. The 44-year-old Oscar-nominated actor and co-star Ashley Walters filmed scenes together for their new M. Night Shyamalan supernatural romantic thriller Remain on Tuesday afternoon (August 5) in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The two actors filmed at what appeared to be an outdoor music festival.

The upcoming movie is a story co-created by M Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks, who are writing the film and an accompanying novel, respectively, based on the same original love story.

The 51-year-old Spice Girls singer and the Australian actor/model enjoyed a day out on a boat with their friends on Tuesday (August 5) in Ibiza.

The 43-year-old Grammy-winning singer took to her social media accounts on Wednesday (August 6) to share the unfortunate news with fans and reveal what is going on in her life.

Kelly is taking time off of work due to her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock‘s health right now. The news comes after Kelly previously canceled the first two shows of her residency due to her own health.

The shows that were scheduled for August 8, 9, 15, and 16 of 2025 are now taking place on July 24, 25, 31, and August 1 of 2026. Ticketmaster listings already show the new dates and it appears tickets have transferred over for fans who already purchased seats.

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” Kelly began her statement.

On Wednesday (August 6), it was announced that the 60-year-old Emmy-nominated actress will be starring alongside her former Saturday Night Live co-star in an upcoming golf comedy series.

In the 10-episode series, Will, 58, will be playing Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, a fictional golf legend while Molly will be playing his foul-mouthed ex-wife Stacy.
