Laplae: The Hidden Town

The story about this strange little town hidden behind thick fog deep in the forest that only has female population was surprisingly good. I am not going to tell the whole story, only saying that the true theme will start revealing itself after Episode 2. It is a story of how people using superstition and tradition to control people and keep their power. There are love stories, uprising of people, action scenes, love scenes, memory deleting poison, power struggles. The cast really did good job and the story move at the right pace most of the time so it's not boring (the first two episodes are a bit slow but after that it was good) The costume, the setting, the cinematography and, most of all, the excellent performance of the cast, got me engrossed into the story and I was able to watch the whole 20 episodes. Although the story has some plot holes that make the story sound unrealistic but since the story itself is sort of a fantasy so a bit plot hole doesn't ruin the whole thing.
