- A one-of-a-kind portrayal of the 240-year-old National Stary Theatre in Krakow, Poland. The camera follows the halls inside the building and discovers the secrets hiding in its walls. It takes us to places behind the curtains, inaccessible for the audience on a regular day, and stumbles upon the people of the theatre, both real and legendary. It is also a film about the individuals who have stood behind the fame and reputation of this place since its foundation. Stories of success are intertwined with painful memories and anecdotes, which embellish the entire picture. However, these are not just dusty stories about the past, but thought-provoking reflections on social and moral changes throughout the years and attempts to confront monumental legends. It is a film about continuation and tradition but also about constant transformation. The younger generation opposes the values of the old system: the paradigm of backbreaking work, hierarchy and competitiveness. The older generation defends its ideals. In the Old Theater (Stary Teatr), as in a lens, you can see the changes taking place in society. The authors won an Oscar nomination for their short documentary 'Our Curse'.
