It would it would probably surprise many people how many absolute great films and more than one in English like, Cliffhanger were produced by French companies.

Or the absolutely incomparable Luc Besson and one of his movies everyone will recognize The Fifth Element.

This movie will not disappoint , the action is great, the pacing is uniquely French or ,European.

I'd say the characters are believable, it has to feel of a bigger budget film then it probably is. Unfortunately , many people in North America will never see it, as with so many other great films coming out of Europe you may want to try looking at Belgian for for Movie and TV series some absolutely great stuff there and really good product coming out of Turkey.

If the movie starts a bit slow, is to get more into the characters, so contrary to most action movies, you at least get to know the main characters.

The movie gets then faster and faster. Not a moment you are bored. Not by the action only, as there are also still slower parts, but because there is a real story and surprises.

The last part, is a bit less realistic and indeed, let you think about John Wick. But that makes the movie more entertaining.

It is refreshing to see an action movie, with less nonsense. No super powers, not an idiotic story for 13 year old. With a bit more realisme, some scenes can be a bit hard.

It is entertaining, not stupid, maybe just not inventive. It entertained me well.

It started as a B movie production but very soon you will realize that this action thriller is actually very well mixed story and quality. There are some amall inconsistencies but otherwise very good plot and twist. And main character is playing his role of mentally unstable veteran hero and how is developing through the story is very good acting. It is low budget stuff but very well executed also action scenes are pretty believable and fluent cut. Except a bit nonsense at burg chalifa bulding shooting a little out but otherwise worth to watch. Fight scene very good and that click knife he have as a fidget to play is very good characteristic distinction from average movies of this type. There is a tension drama and classic very good flick for evening.

Elyas a French film of 2024 is in real terms an action thriller. Feel pity that he could not save the mother of the girl. This film has many twists and turns. Worth a watch. The action sequences are very well choreographed. Cinematography is too good. Car chase sequences are well done. The little girl is cute. The saved girl will now stay with her aunt, will go to school, study and make her future. It is left to her to go on her future path. French films too like Hollywood films and unlike Indian films don't show their emotions. The viewer has to be happy with whatever little emotions without any expression is shown.

However go watch this film and enjoy.

The characters lack depth, and the antagonists remain vague and uninteresting, making the conflict feel meaningless. Pacing issues only add to the frustration, dragging in some moments and rushing through others.

Elyas wants to be intense and meaningful, but it fails on all fronts. Its weak storytelling, underdeveloped characters, and hollow message make it a forgettable and ultimately pointless experience.
