Star Wars has debuted a new sequel-era villain (who has one of the coolest designs yet). Set between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker, Marvel's canonical Legacy of Vader series has been filling in gaps and revealing Kylo Ren's rule as Supreme Leader. However, we've also just learned more about the Knights of Ren (and their brand-new leader).

In the new Legacy of Vader #8, the Knights aren't led by Kylo Ren. Despite having been their leader before The Force Awakens, this issue confirms Kylo left his Knights when Supreme Leader Snoke made him a leader of the First Order.

Disney+ has unveiled new casting additions for the second season of “Rivals,” with Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett joining the ensemble as guest stars in the drama based on Jilly Cooper’s bestselling novel.

Before we get into the names themselves, let's break down the categories, from the absolute bottom of the Sarlacc pit to the shining peak of Jedi legend.

Bantha Poodoo - The lowest of the low. These are the characters who absolutely deserve to be deleted from canon. Remove them and the story wouldn't just survive...it might actually get better.

Per Variety, Disney has set an April 30, 2027, release date for the Star Wars 50th anniversary re-release. Unfortunately, despite Lucasfilm recently hosting a screening of the original print of 1977's Star Wars at a British Film Institute event, the version that will be re-released in 2027 will be the 1997 Special Edition. The Star Wars Special Edition, created for the movie's 20th anniversary, was digitally remastered and features visual shots and scenes that franchise creator George Lucas was unable to achieve back in 1977 due to financial, technological, and time constraints. The Special Edition is perhaps best known for altering who "shot first" in the scene between Han Solo and bounty hunter Greedo, a controversial change that fans are still not happy Lucas made.

Actor Mark Hamill is playing the villainous Major in the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King‘s 1979 dystopian horror novel The Long Walk. In the movie, Hamill’s Major is responsible for overseeing an annual contest in a dystopian United States ruled by a totalitarian regime.

Bateman, it should be noted, is married to the actress behind Rey, Daisy Ridley.
