Avis à la une
Romance. Christian. Cheesy but sweet! Not for everyone, but if you enjoy Hallmark flicks (and Christian films), you'll probably enjoy this IMHO. Really liked Jake Allyn (as Dawson) He said a lot with his eyes and body language, and he's adorable. I wish the writing, directing and acting were stronger, but it got a little better as it went along. And there were definitely plot holes, especially in regards to HIPAA (releasing health info to others). This is adapted from a Karen Kingsbury book (Christian author) and this is the first of her books that she produced under her own production company. I think the director/co-writer, and some other people that contributed to the film, are related to Mrs. Kingsbury as well. Definitely wouldn't give it a 9 or 10, but it doesn't deserve a 1 or 2 either IMHO! (5 from my hubby, 6 from me...but I do enjoy Hallmark movies...LOL)
Why was the biological dad not more apart of the story! He certainly should have been! She was so focused of the sister, mother, boyfriend... it truly never recognized her father! Instead it seemed to discount his opinion and presence ant every turn! He should have been included in the decision making and the reconnecting of Andi! Over all the story was good. It just need the father to be included. So, I guess I'll need to keep typing for this review to be included in the over all assignment! Which, I might add, is ridiculous. But, the powers that may be say so, so here it is! Thank you for you time!
I love the fact that Karen Kingsbury will now be involved in producing some of her stories as films for the big screen. While women can probably relate more to this story than men, I found it to be a great escape. Despite the pain the lead experienced, he kept moving forward. Loved the scenes on the lake. It's simply refreshing to watch a movie where you don't have to worry about foul language or inappropriate behavior. The story's premise is a little different, but watching how the parents and Jake Allyn dealt with grief was interesting. True love hurts and can also bring joy for those lucky enough to find it twice. Overall, I'm glad I invested time and money for the view. I do hope Kingsbury will be able to produce others.
Dawson Gage (Jake Allyn) and his best friend London Quinn (Sarah Fisher) have a very close relationship. Then she gets hit by a truck and dies. Her parents (Lynn Collins, Scott Reeves) reveals that London was an IVF baby and there is a twin. She tracks down Andi Allen (Sarah Fisher), but her parents (Robyn Lively, Bart Johnson) have kept her origins a secret.
The premise has a creepy factor. Dawson is essentially replacing his unresolved feelings for London with her twin. It's a weird idea, but it could still work. He could encounter the twin by chance and have it a matter of the stars. Make it magical. Instead, he is tracking her down like a creepy stalker. There is a medical reason for the search, but the movie is more interested in the romancing. The issue there is that the transplant would still work after London gets killed unless her organs got squashed. Apparently, this is a Christian movie. I couldn't really tell other than some praying. There are other issues. I think a dog can tell the difference between twins. This is mostly non-sense with a dash of blah and a creepy sensibility. Otherwise, it's fine.

I'm a fan of great American family and love Christian faith based movies. In that aspect I liked that the movie was faith based and showed many Christian values. But being a faith based movie I found it frustrating areas. Like Dawson loosing his girlfriend to a car accident who he loved greatly and understandably is grief stricken but then after finding out his girlfriend had a twin adopted to another family at birth Dawson going out on a search to find his girlfriends twin and tell her she had a twin sister and different parents thst kind of turned me off.. Though his intentions were innocent it still felt almost like he was stalking his girlfriends sister and didn't think how it would affect her or her adopted families lives by interfering and revealing to his dead girlfriends sister that she had another mom and dad and a sister. Also the way it was handled by London sister when she found out by Dawson that she had a sister was not very cool. She was very angry at her adoptive parents and I guess thsts understandable but she totally blocked them.out and it was frustrating to watch how she left her adopted parents had no contact and remained distant almost like making them suffer no care for how her actions were affecting and hurting her adoptive parents while she was enjoying her life and time with her real parents and falking for Dawson. I dint know why but I just felt a bit frustrated and little upset by her actions cause I thought she should have had more thought and care to how her actions would affect her adopted parents. The adopted parents were the parents who raised her loved her and gave her a great life even her real.mom told her she needed to call them let them.know she forgave them and that she was OK but she let her adopted parents suffer with uncertainty and sadness for most of movie while she was having a great time with her real parents and especially with dawson.. thst turned me off the most and made the movie substandard for me. Im.glad Dawson finally told her she needed to think of her adopted folks and go home and I'm glad she finally listened to her real mom and Dawson and did go home to her family thst raised snd loved her all those years from when she was just a baby. Other than that the movie was nice sweet and had some good scenes but I just kept getting frustrated everything I saw how much her adopted parents were hurting and she allowed that to go on way to long.

- AnecdotesRobin Lively and Bart Johnson play a married couple in this movie, and they are married in real life.
- GaffesA former comment said that they should have been able to do a transplant after London passed. What that comment failed to take into consideration was that the accident could have rendered London's kidneys unusable.
