After the Queen of Hearts incites a coup in Auradon, her rebellious daughter, Red, and Cinderella's perfectionist daughter, Chloe, must team up and travel in time to undo the traumatic event that drove a young Queen of Hearts to villainy.

The expansive new story finds polar opposites Red and Chloe crossing paths at a momentous celebration in Auradon when unexpected chaos breaks out. In order to prevent an impending coup, they must join forces to travel back in time, via a magical pocket watch created by the Mad Hatter's son, to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences.

Former Villain Kid Uma, now headmaster of Auradon Prep, extends an invite to the school to another VK - Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts from Wonderland. After the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red must team up with Cinderella's perfectionist daughter Chloe and travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set Red's mother down her villainous path.

When Mal, Evie, Jay, and Ben set out to make peace with lands far, far away, Uma is left in charge as the principal.

She sends an invitation to Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, to attend Auradon Prep the coming school year.

Her wicked mother surprises everyone by accepting, even though Red isn't living up to be the kind of queen her mother wants her to be.

Once in Auradon, the Queen of Hearts starts a rebellion and takes over Auradon as the new ruler. When Cinderella, her childhood best friend, tells her to stop, the Queen of Hearts asks her daughter to do the honors and execute her.

Red doesn't want to disappoint her mother and goes along with it, even though she feels wrong about her.

Red tries to run away and use the pocket watch her tutor Maddox made to travel back in time and stop her mother, but Cinderella's daughter Chloe gets in the way in a rage about Red executing her mother.

They go back in time together and agree to work as a team even though they don't get along well.

They find teen Queen of Hearts, Bridget, and teen Cinderella, Ella, at Merlin Academy, the Auradon Prep before Auradon Prep.

Chloe and Red meet their moms as teens and befriend them, only to find a gang of school bullies/villains who make fun of them.

Uliana, the sister of Ursula and leader of the pack, steals Bridget's flamingo cupcakes, but, despite Bridget's warning about side effects, eats them all and turns into a flamingo.

Embarrassed, Uliana chases Bridget, Ella, Red, and Chloe around the school yard until she falls into a fountain and the spell wears off.

Uliana swears she'll get revenge and storms away angrily. Red and Chloe realize that Uliana is going to pull a prank on Bridget that will make her embarrassed and turn into the infamous Queen of Hearts Red knows as her mom.

They put a stop to Uliana and travel back to the present, where the Queen of Hearts is now nice and cheery.

But traveling through time is dangerous... and the time-space continuum is easy to mess up through time travel.

The story is definitely not over yet...
