Martin Clunes: Islands of the Pacific

Why is the camera constantly on Martin Clunes.... OK occasionally but the programmes seem to be about him rather than the Galapagos. Also the factual detail is lacking and although it's not a scientific study it seems to be focused on fairly superficial entertainment rather than being informative.

I recently watched Martin Clune's Documentary on the South Pacific on PBS, NY. And I enjoyed it immensely.

I am a fan of "Doc Martin" and when I saw his name come up for this documentary, I knew that I had to watch it. I viewed this on my local PBS station.

From the beginning I felt I was there with Martin Clune. With him mingling among the local people and learning about their culture made it more real for me. The scenery was absolutely stunning. This documentary brought me into a part of our world that I was unaware of. I have saved it and will watch it again during the cold days of winter.

I came by Martin Clone 's South Pacific by scrolling thru Acorn It was a wonderful semi documentary put together very well ! I love the location & scenery they covered .

I'm happy Martin Clune was in it alot vs just him narrating it Cannot wait to watch series 2 🤗

Martin Clunes is a British actor. He is inspired by a book on the Kon-Tiki expedition given by his father. He is exploring the many islands of the Pacific. I'm not familiar with him. His hits are mostly British TV, and I haven't seen them. I'm sure that I've seen him in some movies. He seems like an amiable guy. There is a bit of white guilt which results in a good amount of social commentary. I wouldn't mind dialing down a notch. The natural world is always great. I can't get enough of that. The people world is mostly interesting. Some are more interesting than other. The leitis in Tonga are fascinating. It's a cool insight into a culture. The Prince Philip stuff is a little uncomfortable. The most fascinating may be a bit murder mystery. The mystery could be made into a Netflix limited series. All in all, it's a nice vacation. There is a bit of learning and understanding. It's one more British actor doing a travelogue series.
