Since I am not British and don't know anything about the presenter, he does reasonably well in this mini-series about South Korea. My sister lived in Seoul for three months back in the 90's and the stories she told me about everyday life there is certainly correspond with Alexander's experiences. It is staggering to see how she and Alex have the same impression 30 years apart: an emerging industrial tiger in the 90's now becoming the 10th largest economy in the world. It also follows, I dare say, the path of Michael Palin, arguably one of the best travel presenter of all time, by depicting places of light, deep, and just simple common realities. The low point is that it is a bit too much of him.
