La banda dei babbi Natale is a comic film it is true, but it contains various morals within it, the acting of the three leads is excellent, but never as good as that of Angela Finocchiaro, here playing the role of a policewoman. The film follows the story of these three 'santas' through numerous flashbacks or 'premises'. Between comedy and morals, the film flows pleasantly, increasing the desire to know what really happened and to find out how it will end. Unrealistic story? Unlikely ending? It matters little, as this film does not focus on normal film standards, but tries to get its messages across in another, simpler way. It should in fact be seen as a fairy tale, not a film. It is a film that deserves a 10/10 as far as the technical part of the film is concerned. In fact, normally in a film by actors like Laurel and Hardy or Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo, the director disappears, whereas in this case, thanks to the direction, the film flows smoothly and perfectly, without any kind of error.
