Avis à la une
After reading the reviews I just had to see this movie to see if it was as bad as so many stated. Turns out it was decent and deserved a watch. Makes me wonder just how many decent movies I've missed because I relied on the reviews of others who apparently expect each movie they review to be an Oscar winner or it isn't worth watching. Needless to say, I will be considering a lot more movies in the future and relying less on the reviews. I also wonder if the people giving bad reviews have some sort of agenda? I would hate to think so but nowadays just about anything is possible. Anyway, enjoy the movie and if not, consider your expectations maybe need adjustment.
Haven't seen so much tripe in all my years, how do people pay to watch this mediocre rubbish is beyond me. The only interest I had in it was the shark story, as we are all still gripped by Jaws, but this took it to new depths !! From poor acting to no real story it never got off the "sea bed", apologies for the poor joke probably as bad as the film. If you are a film lover and a student of the arts, this is not for you by a country mile, stick to the muppet show or Sesame Street if you're that way inclined. Me, I'm off to watch jaws again to redeem my faith in decent shark movies - please be kind if you are replying to my appraisal 😀
I was undecided about the rating... I wanted to give 4 but then I decided to give it a 3.
I am a fan of movies about sharks. I think I watched all of them. Yeah sometimes they are unrealistic, but shark swimming down the aisle of an airplane is whole another level!
Order of illogical scenes made me think how filmmaker brain works and how anyone can see this as logical and normal?
Found the movie quite boring, I almost fell asleep. It didn't hold my attention and it was predictable.
Worth watching?
Not really.
Would I watch if there was part 2?
Absolutely. Just because I have soft spot for shark movies.

So, I give movies a chance if they're over a 5 star on IMDB. This one wasn't so I'm giving a review. It's trash but it's watchable trash.
The fear of being stuck on an airplane gives this an immediate sense of dread. It has a good setup- in an airport, fussy antagonists, dad who is ambivalent to his daughter who might try and come in and save the day? There's an actor who I thought was Gerard Depardieu but is not him, but whoever he is did a great job. The rest of the cast is great.
The camerawork is also well done. I don't live in LA, but I assume this is what it looks like. This is worth a watch for sure.

This is a film about a Teddy who survives being lost in an airport, a plane crash and sharks only to be heartlessly tossed back onto the dark watery depths by his owner! Justice for Mr Timms!!!
I realise it wasn't setting out to be an epic and it's quite entertaining, I did keep shouting, not sure sharks do that and I'd have liked some of the minor characters to have a bit more of an arc but hey, it does what it says on the tin. One character does something toward the end that I found particularly frustrating, I just don't think that would be a choice a grandmother would make but hey we are not looking for realism. That poor Teddy though.

- AnecdotesPrincipal photography took place in London and completed in May 2022.
- GaffesSharks are shown swimming up the isle of the plane and then pulling people back into the water. This is impossible as sharks cannot swim backwards.
