Many things come to mind when you think of the name Harlan Coben. The best-selling author's novels have been successfully adapted into TV series that have consistently topped streaming charts, but there is one particular title that might have flown under the radar — even for Coben fans. A couple of months ago, we heard that Cristin Milioti (The Penguin) was in early talks to take a role in the horror film The Backrooms, which is based on a series of viral videos. We were cautioned that Milioti’s involvement with The Backrooms was only 50-50 at that point, so it wasn’t entirely surprising when it came out that Milioti wouldn’t be in that movie after all. Last week, it was revealed that Milioti is currently working on a different horror project, an independent horror thriller titled Buddy, from director Casper Kelly. Kelly was behind another viral sensation, the 11 minute short Too Many Cooks, which blew a lot of minds when it was released in 2014. Now, The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Milioti is joined in the cast of Buddy by Topher Grace (The Waterfront).

Details on the characters Milioti and Grace are playing have not been shared.

Zachary Quinto will return in the second season of the medical drama Brilliant Minds on NBC. He'll be joined by two new series regulars with details for their characters also revealed.

Per Deadline, Brilliant Minds Season 2 has enlisted Brian Altemus and John Clarence Stewart as series regulars. The show stars Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf, an extremely intelligent neurologist who leads a team of interns. The show also stars Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh Lathrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Donna Murphy, and Teddy Sears.

Altemus is playing Dr. Charlie Porter, a new neurology resident who is described as "guarded, competitive and hiding something from his fellow doctors." He also "winning and sees medicine not as a calling, but a sport."

Brilliant Minds season 2 adds new cast members. The medical drama, inspired by the neurologist Oliver Sacks, Brilliant Minds debuted on NBC last September. It's led by Star Trek alum Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf, zeroing in on his work with a team and their unconventional methods to treat their patients.

The cast of Brilliant Mindsalso includes Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh Lathrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, and Teddy Sears, with Donna Murphy and Mandy Patinkin in recurring roles. After a renewal that was celebrated by the show's devoted audience, they'll be joined by some familiar faces.

Deadlineconfirms that Brian Altemus and John Clarence Stewart are joining Brilliant Minds season 2 as series regulars. Altemus, known for his roles in Shelter and The Tiime Traveler's Wife, will play Dr. Charlier Porter, the new neurology resident. Guarded and competitive, Dr. Porter hides something from his fellow doctors and sees medicine as a sport to be won.

FX’s The Bear Season 4 has been out for a week streaming on Hulu.

The series, which was renewed for a fifth season yesterday, has become known for its needle drops as well as its rotation of guest stars each season. While she didn’t have a song featured in Season 1, the show has come to include at least one Taylor Swift song since Season 2, because it wouldn’t be a heartfelt moment for Ebon Moss Bachrach’s Richie and his daughter without help from the songstress.

Season 2 of the show contained “Love Story” in the seventh episode, “Forks,” and Swift’s “Long Live” was featured in Season 3.

Speaking with TV Insider, Zaki added, “We’re kind of calling it our little Fast and Furious episode where we have to find a new location, a new place, and kind of work off the grid and solve a crime. Fans of the hit CBS drama FBI were surprised last month when it was revealed that Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille, played by Alana de la Garza, is actually married. Netflix will continue to invest in the works of Harlan Coben, author of Fool Me Once, with another adaptation in the works at the streaming service Run Away. Production has just kicked off on the new series that’s likely due for an early 2026 release. Here’s everything we know including the first confirmed four cast members.

Run Away is an upcoming Netflix Original limited crime-drama series and adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel. The adaptation continues Coben’s long and illustrious creative partnership with Netflix, which has already adapted eight novels from his bibliography into Netflix Originals.

Harlan Coben's Shelter premiered on Prime Video on Aug. 18, 2023. The series ran for eight episodes through Sept. 22, 2023. The series was created by Harlan and Charlotte Coben and starred Jaden Michael, Abby Corrigan, Adrian Greensmith, Sage Linder, Brian Altemus, and Constance Zimmer.

FBI Season 7, Episode 11, "Shelter" has the potential to be a great episode, but the CBS procedural simply runs out of time to make that happen. Smriti Mundhra’s Meralta Films is venturing into scripted content, acquiring rights to Riva Razdan’s romantic comedy novel “The Naani Diaries.” The two-time Oscar nominee and three-time Emmy-nominated filmmaker behind hit Netflix documentary series “Indian Matchmaking” will produce through her banner alongside Nina Anand Aujla and Maya Gnyp.

The Harper Collins title follows Radhika, an ambitious New Yorker who turns to her grandmother’s 1960s love story – documented in an old diary – after getting dumped. Trading Manhattan for Mumbai, she dives into India’s arranged marriage scene, testing whether a career-driven woman can transform herself into traditional “wife material.”

For Razdan, this marks another screen adaptation in her growing portfolio. The scribe’s novel “Arzu” is being developed as a TV series with Lily Singh and BlinkMedia producing and “Bridgerton” breakout Charithra Chandran set to star. She’s also writing a rom-com feature and female-centered series for Netflix via Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Netflix‘s next Harlan Coben adaptation has set its cast with James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver and Alfred Enoch leading the ensemble.

The eight-episode series Run Away follows Simon (Nesbitt), who seemingly had the perfect life. But then, his eldest daughter Paige ran away and everything fell apart. When he finds her, vulnerable and strung out on drugs in a city park, he finally has the chance to bring his little girl home.

“But it turns out she’s not alone, and an argument escalates into shocking violence,” a plot synopsis reads. “In the aftermath, Simon loses his daughter all over again, and his search to find her will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever.”

In keeping with previous Coben adaptations Fool Me Once and Missing You, Run Away will relocate the story from the U.S. to the U.

Minnie Driver, Gavin and Stacey co-creator Ruth Jones and James Nesbitt are leading cast on Run Away, Harlan Coben’s next Netflix series.

The pair join another 10 in the latest from Coben, as his current series, Missing You, dominates top-10s around the world and a year after Fool Me Once drew millions and millions of viewers.

Harlan Coben's brand-new 2025 Netflix thriller has found itself at the top of the streaming platform's global charts. The American author is one of the most successful mystery-thriller writers in the world, having written more than 30 novels that have collectively sold more than 60 million copies worldwide. 12 of Coben's novels have been adapted for the screen, including The Five, which aired on Sky 1 in the UK, and the one-season hit Shelter, which aired on Prime Video. Coben's stories are known for their mix of interpersonal drama with thriller elements.

Back in 2018, Coben signed a multi-million-dollar, five-year deal with Netflix, under which 14 of his novels would be adapted for the streaming platform across different territories and languages. Ben Sevier, president & publisher of Grand Central Publishing, announced Wednesday the acquisition of a new suspense novel by Witherspoon and best-selling author and TV creator Harlan Coben.

The novel is Witherspoon’s debut and is based on her original idea. In addition to writing and publishing the novel, a screen adaptation is also in development.

Witherspoon said in a statement, “To say I am a fan of Harlan’s body of work is a massive understatement … the fact that he found my idea for this thriller intriguing enough to want to partner with me on it as co-author is a dream becoming a reality. Scheming with Harlan on how to thrill audiences with mysterious characters and complex narrative twists and turns has already been more fun than I can describe.
