Liaisons scandaleuses

The whole setup was fantastic. The twist was awesome.

Then there was the ending....oh the ending.... SMDH.

Ruined an otherwise great movie.

Holden Pryce (Andrew W. Walker) is running for his life from a gun-person. One day earlier, he's being interrogated by the police. He's been estranged from his wealthy father since the death of his mother. Nevertheless, his father has always paid the bills including Harvard. He accepts his father's invitation to come home and is shocked to find his father married to Lana (Angie Everhart).

I like some of the noir elements. The actors are strictly B-movie level and that is probably its main flaw. Angie Everhart has the model body, but she's not a great actress. Andrew W. Walker is fine, but his character needs more innocence. This is a TV movie that is stuck in TV B-movie level.

Pretty good thriller turned murder mystery movie. It was pretty predictable in some areas, but what movies aren't? It was done in a way that made me care about the characters and the story. The acting was even better than I could have hoped for in this kind of movie. Andrew W. Walker and Amy Sloan both provided excellent performances. Winston Rekert made his character, the rich, protective father, come alive. Even Angie Everhart pulled off a convincing act.

My only real complaint on the movie is it had about one or two plot twists too many. Otherwise the story seemed to make sense to me, and I enjoyed it.

I was not sure what to think of the recent Harvard graduate Holden Price (Andrew W. Walker) when he came home to visit his multi-millionaire father, Mason Price (Winston Rekert), but just quick as the few bucks I have disappear from my pocket, even quicker does young Holden fall prey to his fathers abusive ways once again. To comfort Holden is his new stepmom, the much younger redheaded Lana (Angie Everhart) who quickly bond and are sympathetic with one another's plight as they struggle with each of their personal relationships with Mason Price.

Mason is a multi millionaire who likes to control both his son and his much younger bride. When Holden comes home one night and finds his father dead cold on the floor he calls the police and quickly becomes the police's prime suspect.

So we are left to try and solve this murderous puzzle with a number of potential suspects. After some twists and turns we discover who is responsible for the murder of the control freak multi millionaire Mason Price.

The second half of the film influenced me to increase my IMDB rating from a 5 to 6 and the ending was worth waiting for. It's a decent suspense/crime film that you may not see the ending coming. I confess, I was pleasantly surprised by the ending and maybe you will be also.

This is not a very good movie and I don't recommend it for those of you who aren't dedicated Andrew Walker fans. If you for any reason still want to see it you'll probably survive, but you'll never be able to make up for the lost hour and a half.

Andrew Walker is very cute and sure there is a twist, but since you now know there is a twist you'll be looking for it and then it's not that surprising. Note this is a standard thriller made for TV.

The music in this movie sets the tone like it should, but also reveals when something isn't right - a good tool when figuring out the plot in advance.
