Best thing ever!

This is the best video game ever made for any system in any genre. Its also better than any movie ever made! YAY! No game ever will be better than this. Its super good. Super duper. Monkey.

One of the best video games ever.

Spectacular storyline, dangerous dungeons, difficult bosses, and an awesome array of weaponry/equipment. This game is the best in the series. With a huge expanse of land for you to explore, there are mysteries to be solved, items to be found, and maidens to be saved. Play this game. You'll enjoy it.

AWESOME TITLE!

Out of the countless masterpieces to come down the line in the early library of video games, easily up there in the top 20 if not the top 10 games of all time, mention one of the greatest and addicting titles of all time! It is one of those rare games you can play over and over again and still enjoy!

If I could, I'd vote higher than a 10 for this game, it just simply deserves it!

The Greatest game ever!!!!!!!!!

This game is the greatest game. From the start of the game where you go out in the rain and have to find a secret passage to get into the castle. Till the end where you face Gannan in the dark world. The game has depth and replay value so high you will be playing this game over and over again. It's so fun and not to hard but it kicks @ss. The music rules the story kicks it's just an unbelievable game. If you have the chance get this game!!!

Somehow The Legend of Zelda series always seems to come out on top whenever a new Nintendo sytem comes out. This is no exception. I don't think this is better than the two that came before it, but I still put it above the Windwaker, Majora's Mask, and Oracles. The storyline itself is the best thing about it, and one of the best in the series. Makes you want to play it more.

Anecdotes
Harassing a chicken will soon send an endless flock of angry birds attacking Link. The only escape is to get out that area fast, if the player is lucky. While this game requires a lot of strikes in order to do so, later games reduced it to three strikes minimum to call for chickens to attack Link.

Gaffes
In some dungeons, if Link gets touched by a flake of magic that can turn him into a rabbit if he's wearing the blue or red armor, his armor will revert back to his green cloth until he transforms back into human.

Crédits fous
The ending is broken into three parts. Link defeats Ganon and touches the Triforce after it speaks to him, restoring the Sacred Realm. We see various people across Hyrule Link met on his journey, and lastly see the closing credits played over footage of the newly-restored Sacred Realm. The credits end by stating how many lives it took you to complete certain dungeons, and close out with a "total games played" message, staying how many lives you took total to beat the game on your file.

Versions alternatives
The Super Nintendo version of Legend of Zelda went through many changes from the Japanese version including.
The English Title screen is called "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" with the Triforce logo and now includes the Master Sword as well. Also there's now a castle scenery in the background.
In the opening English opening prologue, The blue soldiers spears has been replaced with swords as they take the maiden women away to be sacrificed by Agahnim.
The English File Select uses a rock pattern background but the word "Kill" mode has now been replaced with "Erase Player".
The English Register file name in the English version can now use up to 6 English letters.
This Super Nintendo game uses English letters and the English font is no longer bolded.
The arrow symbols on the sign has shrunk down to smaller arrows.
The Hylian script's hieroglyphic font is less detailed.
The tile in the Eastern Temple which originally featured a hexagram Star of David symbol has been replaced with a compass symbol due to religious references.
The wanted signs of Link in Kakariko Village no longer displays Link's name right next to the character picture.
Many of the character cast in the credit ending had some of the characters renamed including "Loyal Sage", "Flippers for Sale", "Flute Boy Plays Again" due to religious references of the word "Priest". However the word "Flute" is actually in the shape of an Ocarnia.
The English credits features the Japanese Nintendo staff and now includes the English Script Writers "Daniel Owsen", "Hiroyuki Yamada" and the Nintendo American localization team involved with the Super Nintendo version.
