Mesmerising music

If you want to see a full fledged musical, then this is the film for you. The music By LP is excellent. Ironically, this was the film that halted Rajesh Khanna's record of 15 consecutive super hits. It bombed badly at the box office.

Maybe the Muslim social did not appeal to all sections. Mohd Rafi sang almost all the songs for Kaka, which is unusual. Maybe this also was not fully acceptable to the audience. I really do not know why it flopped.

I certainly enjoyed it. The pair of Rajesh Khanna & Leena Chandavakar is lovely & the story is also quite good.

We always associate good music only to the Kaka-Pancham combination, but here the Kaka-LP combo also creates magic.

Definitely a move worth seeing.

Pradeep Kumar stated originally he was slated to be the lead actor in the film. But suddenly he found Rajesh Khanna getting all the prominence. Now Pradeep was in the supporting role of the film.When Pradeep asked Rawail, he stated he was getting pressurized by someone, but refused to mention who. Then more songs were added due to Rajesh Khanna's popularity and this changed the treatment of the film. The movie ended up Super Hit .
