Avis à la une
It has been amusing reading people comments on this show. I found them to be quite varied and critical, which i honestly didn't expect.
I love this show. However, i am slightly biased, as the only reason i watched it is because of Jason Marsden a.k.a Tino Tonitini. Now that i have watched it i can say that i would watch it even without Jason, without lying. Sometimes it can be a bit sickly sweet, but i think this is balanced out beautifully by the jokes and the characters' undesirable traits. Yes, Tino, Carver, Tish and Lor do seem to be too smart alec(y) and knowledgeable to be 12, yet my 11 yr old brother loves the show, and often laughs at jokes that i would never have thought he'd get. I think sometimes us older people don't remember what it's like to be a kid, and what we found amusing. It's okay to look back and say something is trite and conceited. But as a kid... do you really care? Who were the audiences of 'Full House' do you think? I believe "The Weekenders" is good for kids because it does have all those 'moral' little stories. P.S...i love Tino's ending word at the end of each episode. It's often where his funniest jokes are. And also... can IMDb change "Tino Tontini" to "Tino Tonitini" please???

The Weekenders is pretty much about 4 best friends living for the weekend. Doug Langdale is a genius for creating this great cartoon for Disney. It is simply the best Disney cartoon series has came out with in a long time. It's a shame that Disney discontinued it late in 2001. They didn't even have a chance to make merchandise for this show.
At first, I thought this was an awful cartoon when I saw it in 2000. I was about 15 or 16 at the time and I just thought it was really lame. A couple of years later, I watched it again. I didn't know it at the time, but ABC was going to pull the show off their lineup of shows. I would of never seen this show again if I never got satellite. I did get satellite and I found the channel it was on.
This is probably the most realistic cartoon of all time, in my opinion. The episodes deal with some things that kids can relate to. Even though I wasn't really a kid after I watched it, I thought it was a funny cartoon. I sort of related to some of the things that were on the episodes when I was a kid.
Well, it's really too bad that this cartoon didn't make it that far. They never even made that much off this cartoon. Oh well, I guess kids these days want to watch stupid mindless cartoons like Yu-Gi-Oh. I remember it beat Pokemon in the ratings at one point. Anyway, this cartoon is possibly the best cartoon of all time. For those who want to compare this to Recess, you can't really compare them together. Yes, there may be some similarities, but the Weekenders is the better cartoon.

I absolutely love the show. What makes is so great is that it isn't as stereotyping as 'Recess' and it teaches good morals which kids and teenagers can relate to.
I cannot name one bad thing about this show. The animation is great, the plot line is good, and the voice overs are terrific!Special attention goes out to Jason Marsden and Phil Lamarr for their excellent performances of 'Tino' and 'Carver'.

Wow, I love this cartoon. OK, so maybe it's not working up to its fullest potential, or getting the credit it deserves, but I must say it is a very well done new series. The humor is very realistic, sarcastic and easy to understand. There are a lot of jokes that blow right over the heads of small children, and the older kids/ adults watching can understand and laugh. All in all, my only complaint is that I don't feel like getting up anymore on Saturdays to watch TV...a sign that I am (unfortunately) growing up...
I'm so happy to have discovered such a delightful little show. The characters are all very likeable (especially Tish!!), the scenario's are easy to follow, and it's very original. More shows should take hints from this one on how to be great programming. I hope to see more from this series, maybe a revival, or a movie (whether it's straight-to-video or nationwide at a theater). Seek this series on tv, it's certainly worth it.
