- Explosive drama and action when two sexy girls go on a bank robbing binge.
- Using dynamite, Candy Morgan (Claudia Jennings) breaks out of a Texas prison. On that same day, Ellie Jo Turner (Jocyelyn Jones) is fired from her job as a bank teller. As her boss is firing her, Ellie Jo watches Candy enter the bank and threaten to ignite a stick of dynamite unless she gets money. Ellie Joe gladly fills her bag. After Candy flees, Ellie Joe is still exited by the event.
Ellie Jo says goodbye to her boyfriend Freddie and hitchhikes out of the small town of Alpine, determined to have a fun-filled life. Meanwhile, Candy gives some of the money she stole from the bank to her father so he can keep his farm. She then takes the back roads out of town. She gives Ellie Jo a ride when she sees her hitchhiking. Ellie Jo convinces her that they should team up and rob more banks.
On their first caper, Candy's dynamite fizzles and the women only manage to escape because of fast driving and throwing one stick of good dynamite into a chasing police car (the policemen inside escape with no injuries). Ellie Jo feels bad about causing Candy such bad luck and offers to leave. Candy tells Ellie Jo, "we are in this together."
The women purchase more dynamite from a handsome mining operator named Jake (Chris Pennock). Candy gets the price down by seducing him. He then give them a shotgun with some ammunition and wishes them the best of luck.
Candy and Ellie Jo pull off several more successful bank robberies and other heists. They have become known by the press all over Texas as the 'Dynamite Women', but then become more wanted for murdering a bank guard... something they have never done until now.
When Ellie Jo is stopped a grocery store counter for shoplifting, the two women rob the store. They also take another shoplifter, named Slim (Johnny Crawford) with them as a hostage to get out of the place. Silm becomes Candy and Ellie Jo's friend. That night the three of them check into a ritzy hotel for the night. While Ellie Jo and Slim make love, Candy seduces Johnny (Eric Boles) a hotel bellboy. All four of them end up nude in the bathtub. The hotel clerk who checked them in recognized them and informs the police that the bank robbers are present at the hotel, but when the police arrive, Johnny helps them escape.
The robberies continue with Slim serving as a "professional hostage"; at each bank the two women rob, they pretend he is a customer they will blow up if they do not get the money. After robbing one bank for the second time, the three of them dine at a fancy restaurant with the spoils from their robbery. Mr. Smith, that day fired as the bank's manager, spots them and chases them out. The experience unnerves Slim. He decides to walk out on Ellie Jo, but changes his mind with an agreement that they pull off one last job together.
Candy, Ellie Jo and Slim go into hiding at a deserted cabin at a remote campground, but the manager recognizes slim and phones the police who pursue them into the nearby woods. While trekking through the woods, Ellie Jo tells Slim that she loves him. Just then, two cops step out of the bushes and gun him down. Candy kills both cops and pulls Ellie Jo away from her dead lover. The two women manage to escape. Having lost their bank loot at the cabin when they were forced to leave it behind in a hurry when the police showed up, they need to pull off one more job. But in town when they arrive at another bank, they are ambushed by both locals and the police, but somehow escape yet again, but Candy is wounded.
Followed by the police, they decide to head for the border with Mexico, but Candy and Ellie Jo are trapped in a barn. The wounded Candy tells Ellie Jo to go on without her. Ellie Jo refuses by quoting "we're in this together!" They roll their car at the police and it explodes. During the diversion, the women hop on two horses and gallop away to freedom in Mexico.
