As the 2024-25 TV season winds down, it’s not surprising that Netflix series dominated multiplatform ratings given the streamer’s reach. Still, a number of broadcast hits — from CBS’ “Tracker” and “Matlock” to ABC’s “High Potential” — broke up its domination of the list of most-watched shows.

Netflix accounted for 10 of the top 15 series across broadcast, cable and streaming, with “Squid Game” and “Adolescence” leading the pack with 27.1 million and 19 million viewers, respectively, according to live-plus-35-day viewing figures through April 6.

Broadcasters, however, took over from there, as CBS’ “Tracker” followed in third place with 17.4 million crossplatform viewers, while ABC’s “High Potential” and CBS’ “Matlock” took the No. 5 and 6 spots on the list with 16.1 million viewers and 16 million viewers, respectively.

Robert Zemeckis' 2007 animated film version of "Beowulf," based on the Old English poem, was one of the earlier films to make such extensive use of then-novel motion-capture CGI technology. It may not be Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, but it's certainly the next best thing. Peacock is about to add an underrated action movie starring Tom Cruise to its platform next month.

Beginning June 1, Peacock subscribers will be able to stream Jack Reacher. The 2012 action movie is based on Lee Child's 2005 Jack Reacher novel One Shot and was written and directed by future Mission: Impossible franchise helmer Christopher McQuarrie. Cruise stars as the titular character, who is called upon to aid in a homicide investigation involving a trained military sniper believed to be responsible for a mass shooting.Jack Reacher earned favorable reviews from critics, earning a 64% approval rating on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, and was a box office success, grossing over $215 million worldwide off a $60 million budget.

Jack Reacher was followed by a 2016 sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, that was based on Child's 2013 novel of the same name.
