Avis à la une
Destroy All Neighbors is a fun little movie about a young prog-rock musician who is struggling to release his newest album and after his new neighbor Vlad keeps being loud and annoying, he goes to confront him. From there on an absurd and fun journey begins.
The movie uses some great practical work and is equipped with a unique and interesting story. There's lots of bloody carnage and the humor is great making the movie actually funny at times. There's even a fun cameo by Kumail Nanjiani in this. Alex Winter as Vlad did an amazing job and his character is already iconic in my opinion.
However this movie is not flawless, since the story's pacing seems off at times and there are several plot holes. The overall production seems rather cheap but it looks like they made the most out of it and overall I think this was a decent horror comedy that reminded me of some stuff from the 80s. [5,6/10]

I honesly have no idea what the budget for this film was, because it looks rather cheap but has some quite popular faces in it. Anyway for mister Winter this one hits a little close to home for sure, another movie with and about music, finding the perfect song, finishing the ultimate album.
A lot of jokes, that are inside jokes inside the movie, which really felt nice. Great cameos, excellent practical effects instead of CGI, funny dialogue, good characters and a lovely development. Destroy all Neighbors is one fun watch, definitely something to recommend, goes great with junk food and beer.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel that lately, smaller horror movies act better than the big ones. They still have heart, passion and often manages to reach their destination. This one, as many others of its kind, succeeded.
Well done to the people involed in it. Excellent final product.
Cheers!

Yet another lazy, pointless movie made as if it was a long YouTube short.
This movie was like having a coke-head show up to your party and tell you something interesting but then their high gets progressively higher and they start doing completely random new things instead of building on what they were telling you about. It also feels like the jokes were written for toddlers. They were ALL flat and did not hit the mark.
I am tired of living in a world where the influence of the online world bleeds into the movie industry. This movie is the same caliber as short films on YouTube. It also acts like it is trying to appeal quickly to followers instead of entertain a fresh audience of general people. But ultimately, it was empty and had no purpose or focus. I'm afraid we are in an era of A. D. D. Entertainment. And if you can't keep your attention focused enough to make a linear and intriguing story then how do you expect an audience to have attention to watch it?

William Brown (Jonah Ray) is struggling to finish his self-described prog rock masterpiece in his home studio. His rundown apartment building is full of noisy neighbors. When he confronts his neighbor Vlad, it goes horribly wrong and more wrong and even more wrong still.
This is a small horror comedy. There are a few recognizable faces in the cast although I don't recognize Jonah Ray. The one that I truly did not recognize is Alex Winter as Vlad. I appreciate the makeup to make him weird, but it may be more compelling to use Alex Winter's real face. He is still a named face that some people would like to see. The biggest issue for me is that I didn't laugh. I can see the comedy, but it doesn't hit the funny bone.

Down on his luck William (Jonah Ray) is a neurotic and egocentric musician whose only goal is to finish his masterpiece. But he faces a creative roadblock . Everything gets complicated the day that the unbearable and disgusting Vlad (Alex Winter) moves in next door. Finally working up the nerve to demand that Vlad keep it down, William ends up killing him accidentally and inadvertently decapitates him. But, while attempting to cover up one murder, William's accidental reign of terror causes victims to pile up and become undead corpses who torment and create more bloody detours on his road to prog-rock Valhalla.
Blood, guts, a lot of black humor and progressive rock run through this irreverent horror comedy. This regular comedy works -at times- on multiple levels , the action scenes are pretty well and adequately mounted , but resulting in an average film. It belongs to a peculiar sub-genre : the horror building comedy .The film contains humor with tongue-in-cheek,thrills , chills , gory scenes and gallons of corny bloody spectacle . This film has enough comedic and acting bite to entertain enough and some sympathetic scenes have worthwhile watch. The plot is plain and simple , a mysterious and dangerous neighbour who causes chaos and mayhem , as he begins erupting throughout the building, acting out their wildest impulses , and our starring must finally rise to the challenge in order to survive. It produces a hectic cynical parody that gets better as more blood is spilled . Script is middlingly written enough to be identifiable and the delivery from actors is often openly mocking the eccentric roles. The storyline is completely predictable but that doesn't flop at all , as there are enough lightweight laughs and antics , to keep the story rolling along . Combining this with passable acting and you will have some diverting moments here and there . While it may not open with much glee , the unworldly struggle towards the end proves to be ludicrously fun . Provided , of course, you accept credentials of a "B" movie and associated a limited budget. "Horror comedy" as a genre or subgenre is more challenging than it sounds . Some in recent years have been really nice , including "Tucker and Dale Versus Evil" and "Shaun", but many of them fail to deliver the goods ."Destroy All Neighbors(2024)" gets an uneven balance , some of it is downright funny , and there is more blood, gore, slitting and beheading here than other movies .
Stars Jonah Ray giving a likable performance as struggling prog-rock musician William Brown who finds himself in a living nightmare when he accidentally kills Vlad, the neighbor from hell. While the noisy and grotesque neighbor named Vlad is sympathetically played by Alex Winter. There're some known faces in the cast , some of them newcomers , or veterans or with promising future , such as :Kiran Deol, Thomas Lennon, Randee Heller, Ryan Kattner, Christian Calloway If you're in the mood for some zombie fun you could do a lot worse than this title . My advice watch it alongside other polished comedic terror flicks for a evening chuckle worthy crazy fun. The motion picture was averagely directed by Josh Forbes. The film was made in short budget , even main actors : Jonah Ray, Alex Winter are the producers, in fact the apartment hallway and rooms were sets that were built inside of a warehouse in Los Angeles. John Forbes is known for making musical videos and directing or producing a few films Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002), Decay (2015) and Contracted: Phase II (2015). Destroy All Neighbors(2024) rating: 4.5/10. Recommended only for fans of Splatter and ironic horror full of crazy incidents.
