Laura Adkin’s debut feature Re: Uniting tells a resonant tale of reliving college days through the lens of adulthood. The film stars Michelle Harrison, David Lewis, and Carmen Moore as six friends reunited twenty-five years after graduating. They come together on the idyllic shores of Bowen Island for laughs, bonding, and confronting how life has unfolded.
Adkin handles this reunion with thoughtful direction. She crafts complex characters instead of simple stereotypes, showing us people as they are—diverse experiences woven into lively interactions. Through conversation and subtle looks, we learn just enough about each to understand their present. Backstory exposition is wisely avoided, keeping focus on intimate moments between realistically portrayed individuals.
This emphasis on nuanced performances allows meaningful themes to emerge naturally. We observe enduring friendship resisting time’s effects. Lives devoted to family or career take shape, revealing joy and sorrow. Most powerfully, characters acknowledge life’s...

“The Strangers: Chapter 1” is more enjoyable than anticipated. In a backwards way, that’s all the more reason to be let down by Lionsgate’s increasingly confused slasher franchise: A recognizable and once cherished piece of IP that, less than two decades since its creation, is already getting picked for parts.
What began as a barebones home invasion horror — extraordinary because of how well writer/director Bryan Bertino manipulated a total lack of expectation in his first film from 2008 — isn’t so beautifully subtle or senseless anymore. No, these days and directed by Renny Harlin, “The Strangers” is your average melodramatic thriller packed front-to-end with shadowy forest scenes, tight jump-scares, and clumsy repeated references to what few lines work as callbacks from the original script.
That’s fun enough for casual fans and, although the character work and dialogue leave something to be desired, it’s hard to knock “Chapter...

Given the recent trend of the superhero genre to delve into alternate realities and different dimensions, it's only fair to answer who killed Nora Allen with the multiple answers provided across the recent multiple incarnations of The Flash.
The Answer According to The Flash Television Series (2014-2023)
Played by Michelle Harrison in varying versions of Nora Allen, this series presented the murder of Wally West's mother in the early episodes as the tragic result of an abusive, alcoholic war veteran.
Steeped in mythology, the trademark World War I helmet can be seen atop the rifle-wielding madman before Nora's untimely death. Wally West (portrayed by the incredible Flash franchise veteran John Wesley Shipp) uses this very same helmet as both a weapon and a symbol against his enemies in his later career. It's to be inferred here that the pre-Barry Allen, Wally West Flash had been inspired by the...

The following contains spoilers for The Flash Season 9, Episode 13, "A New World, Part Four: Finale," which aired May 24 on The CW.
To understand, you need to do something first: you need to believe in the impossible. No, not that a dude can get hit by lightning and then run faster than the speed of time. Rather, a TV network notorious for pre-teen melodramas with low budgets could create DC's most successful live-action shared universe. Over hundreds of hours of TV, the Arrowverse created a massive mythology that rivals any other major franchise. The following contains spoilers for The Flash Season 9, Episode 13, "A New World, Part Four: Finale," which aired May 24 on The CW.
The final season of The Flash on The CW wrapped up the story for the show's characters and the entire Arrowverse. This means that the entire final season was a bevy of guest appearances and cameos. Plenty of returning champs came back for the series finale, including villains and allies of Team Flash. After nine years and more than 100 episodes, it can be difficult to remember just who everyone is.
One of the most important returning characters was Rick Cosnett's Eddie Thawne, who came back for the final four episodes. Along with Iris's ex-fiancé, her daughter from the future Nora West-Allen, played by Jessica Parker Kennedy, is another holdover from the penultimate episode of The Flash. However, several other characters returned, many of them former Big Bad villains from past seasons.

There are Forces to be reckoned with, The Flash made crystal clear in this Tuesday’s episode — kicking off, in earnest, the “cool, fun” comic book storyline that Grant Gustin previously teased.
Gustin had told TVLine that, a short time after the Mirrorverse storyline ends, “We’re going to see something that’s from an arc in the comic books, with a handful of different Forces” akin to the Speed Force from which Barry draws his own meta powers. “It’s a cool storyline that we explore for a stretch of episodes, and the actors that they got to portray...

The Flash Season 6 Episode 2
It sure looks like that shift in tone I noted from last week’s season premiere might be here to stay. This can only be a good thing. After over 100 episodes (and hundreds more when you factor in all of its Arrowverse brethren) it’s time for The Flash to shake things up. Ok, maybe not as severely as “killing off your lead character on the Dec. 10 episode of the show” shaking things up levels, but then again...why the hell not, right?
I am, of course, joking. Nobody wants to see Barry die permanently. Grant Gustin is too good, especially when the writing cooperates, and that’s exactly what has been...

After ending on a massive cliffhanger in the second season, the third year of The Flash went bigger by adapting the iconic DC Comics storyline Flashpoint. By saving his mother Nora (Michelle Harrison) from being murdered by the Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), Barry causes several changes to not just his show, but across the Arrowverse. Season three is also considered the show’s darkest season yet, with the introduction of the villainous Savitar who turns out to be an alternative version of our hero. But things get even darker as the second half was all about saving Iris West (Candice Patton) from being killed by Savitar.

Shielding their wives from devastating news is one way many men show their love and devotion. But most women who are truly devoted to loving their husbands often don’t feel as though they need that constant protection, and wish to help protect their cherished way of life. Whenever a season finale ends on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, the challenge to pay it off in a satisfying way can often be too much for a given show to bear. When Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) travelled back in time in the season 2 finale to save his mother (Michelle Harrison) from the Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), longtime fans of DC Comics knew exactly what was coming next: the show’s version of the popular 2011 Geoff Johns/Andy Kubert comic Flashpoint. Once it was announced that The Flash season 3 would indeed premiere with an episode bearing that very same title, discussion then turned to exactly what elements The CW series would take from the comics and how it would serve the story at hand.

Ever since the very first episode of The Flash, fans have speculated that on the night that Barry's (Grant Gustin) mother Nora (Michelle Harrison) was murder, there were actually two speedsters in the house, not just the mysterious Reverse Flash. And now that we're more than halfway through the wildly-successful first season, our theories are being proven true, thanks to Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes). After the epic events of "The Man In the Yellow Suit," the S.T.A.R. Labs genius figured out that seeing both red and yellow lightning during Barry and the Reverse Flash's fight was just like how young Barry described the night of his mother's murder, meaning there was more than one metahuman...

Let them fight! Last night in Canada The Flash was spotted filming a fight scene for an upcoming episode. The fight features stuntmen dressed as The Flash and another dressed as 'Reverse Flash'/'Professor Zoom.' This is our first look at The Flash's arch-nemesis on the set. Based on these images, The Flash looks to be outmatched. Oh, no! Besides wearing a yellow (and black) costume that's nearly identical to The Flash, this super-villain comes from the future, the 25th century to be exact. He uses his exceptional speed to travel in time. In the comics, he uses that ability to screw up The Flash's life. We saw a glimpse of that villainy in the pilot. He's the yellow blur that young Barry Allen sees murdering Barry's mother (Michelle Harrison). Click Here - More The Flash Set Photos With Zoom After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm,...

The CW has debuted a great new promo for their upcoming Flash series that you can watch below. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled because it features a few fun Easter eggs that I think fans will enjoy.
The series comes from co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, who wrote the pilot episode with Geoff Johns, which was helmed by Arrow pilot director David Nutter. I watched the first episode of Flash last night at Comic-Con, and it looks like the CW has another great superhero hit on their hands. Are Barry Allen and Iris West stuck in the friend zone? Actress Candice Patton discusses her character Iris West and the on-screen relationship she has with Grant Gustin's Barry in a new featurette for The CW's The Flash. Iris and Barry have known each other since they were kids. They were friends in school, and became really close after Barry moved in with her and her family. Watch as Barry attempts to step out of the friend zone and into an actual relationship with Iris in never before seen footage from The Flash before it makes its debut this fall. It seems things are about to get very complicated.

This shouldn't come as too much of a shock as many fans have penciled John Wesley Shipp ("Dawson's Creek") as Barry Allen's father well before today's announcement, but now it is official. Executive producer Greg Berlanti tells TV Line, “Given his history with The Flash, [executive producers] Andrew [Kreisberg], Geoff [Johns] and I could only think of one person we wanted to play Barry’s father and that was John Wesley Shipp. He gives a fantastic and emotional performance in the pilot and we are looking forward to his presence in many more episodes. Also, personally, it was just wonderful to work with him again since my days at Dawson’s Creek. He’s a great actor and a great guy.” This is a pivotal role as Barry Allen's father in the series is wrongly accused of killing his wife (played by Michelle Harrison).
