The Lowdown

Ethan Hawk is amazing in this! He's the full blown character and nothing held back. Love him for this performance. The entire cast is outstanding and the storytelling is entertaining, hilarious & deeply engaging. I appreciate the original storyline and the authenticity of the dialogue. Watch! You won't regret it. Bravo!

Charming, very funny, and distinctive--cast is incredible, venue is distinct. Not yet another show shot somewhere because of greater tax incentives. The show has heart, insight, originality, and a deep sense of conviction. It isn't trying to be anything other than what it is, a brilliant reimagination of genre fiction set far from Los Angeles or any other "big cities."

I adore this entire cast but if Keith David, Ethan Hawke, and Michael Hitchcock could just do shows together forever i would be so happy.

This show is off to a good start and I'm eager to see it develop. This is a biography, drama, but they really should classify it as a comedy too.

Kyle McLaughlin has some of the best comedic timing.

An anecdote for our corrupt times. Great chemistry and Ethan Hawk shines. Who knew Tulsa Oklahoma would make such a great setting for a film noir series. The child actor is a revelation. Fighting corruption means endangering your family. A frightening proposition. Much better than 6.9 rating. Give it a chance.

The Lowdown is such a fun show. Ethan Hawke is such a good actor and this is one of his best roles in years. He carries this show and steals every scene. There is one person who comes close but he's only a supporting character who isn't in to later in the season and that's Peter Dinklage. Hawke and Dinklage are hilarious together. The Lowdown is about an investigative journalist named Lee Raybon (Hawke) whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble. Hawke is so good here that I wouldn't be surprised to see him nominated for some awards. This is a show where you'll have such a good time watching it that it will fly by and keep you wanting more.
