The excision of one major Inside Out 2 has been explained by the director. The upcoming Pixar movie is a sequel to their 2015 Oscar-winning movie, which anthropomorphized the emotions in the head of an adolescent girl named Riley who was undergoing a tough transition after her family moved from Minnesota to San Francisco. The movie included the emotions Anger, Fear, Disgust, Joy, and Sadness, and the sequel will add an even more layered ensemble that includes Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment. However, the major emotion Shame, which was part of the original story, has been cut from the movie.

Riley getting older in Inside Out 2 meant that there would be some new emotions added to the mix. However, there was one that was meant to be featured that was cut from the final film, as it was just too dark for the animated sequel.

Speaking about Inside Out 2 with TheWrap, director Kelsey Mann confirmed that a new emotion, Shame, was cut from the story. The character was described as grey and "looking rather glum," and Mann said that Shame was "always a part of it." The problem was that the character was just a bit too depressing to include, getting to the point that it wasn't enjoyable to watch. Mann explains that Shame was ultimately cut out of concern it would leave filmgoers feeling uneasy afterward.

Weil’s daughter, Jenn Mann, told TMZ that her mother passed away on Thursday, June 1st. “My mother, Cynthia Weil, was the greatest mother, grandmother and wife our family could ever ask for. She was my best friend, confidant, and my partner in crime and an idol and trailblazer for women in music,” Mann said in a statement.

Hyderabad, April 9 (Ians) The health authorities in Telangana have conducted free eye tests of more than one crore people under second phase of ‘Kanti Velugu’, billed as the world’s largest eye screening programme.

Ever since the launch of the second phase in January, 1,500 medical teams have examined 1,01,65,529 people. They include 47,70,757 men, 53,85,293 women and 3,360 transgenders.

Officials said 64.07 per cent of the target has been reached. The second phase is aimed at covering 1.5 crore people.

Free reading glasses were distributed to 16.33 lakh people while 12.31 people were identified for prescription glasses. Nearly 73 lakh people were diagnosed without any eye problems.

We all knew what the main intention was from filmmaker Michael Mann when he and co-author Meg Gardiner published the “Heat 2” novel last August (You can read The Playlist’s review here). It was obvious they figured out how to make a follow-up film to one of the most beloved crime thrillers of all-time and wanted to test the waters first. Mann had confirmed his desire to turn the book into a theatrical release during the book tour last summer and now we have a credible status update of where things are at with that sequel.

Almost 30 years after the original, Heat 2 is in the works from writer-director Michael Mann, with Adam Driver in talks to star as Neil McCauley.

As Deadline reports, Warner Bros. — which distributed the original Heat — is in negotiations to develop Heat 2 based on the novel of the same name Mann published last year (order here). The book, co-authored by Meg Gardiner, is both a prequel and sequel of sorts to the original story, offering storylines involving Heat characters that occur before and after the events of the original film. Driver will play a young McCauley (first portrayed by Robert De Niro), meaning his casting relates to the prequel aspect of the story.

While Mann is still in the midst of post-production on Ferrari, the report states that the Heat sequel could be his next project; Not only that, but it also confirms that Adam Driver is in discussions with Mann to play young Neil McCauley, the character played by Robert De Niro in the original movie. Deadline says that the other Heat 2 casting rumors, which range from Al Pacino to Ana de Armas, haven’t been confirmed and that Driver is the only actor currently committed to the project.
