After a long time, I felt like I watched a really good movie. Only one small drawback, so I reduced one star. When you can show the hero and the male lawyer as normal-looking people instead of models, why can't the heroine or the female lawyer also be portrayed as someone who looks like the woman next door?
The movie is going to be hard pill to swallow for pseudo- feminist. From a Male perspective, It addresses the struggle faced by men in the new world order where most men are categorised as 'bad' men, but women can never be 'bad' for wanting anything, doing anything strictly no accountability.
The comparison of women's labour at home as slavery was a female perspective being pushed again and again. This movie, Shows the male perspective in which men have to pay for everyone and hardly have anything left for themselves, The lack of financial independence to spend for themselves even after working hard.
The film touches the bias in laws that favour women words more than men's. Men have to prove their innocence and women are by default considered innocent.
This is a good start on this concept and hope many more follows.
The negative review is mostly by offended feminist trying their best to sustain their victim mindset.
P. S. If men should start working more at home because women were forced to work at home, It's time women start paying more money for car, home and loans as men were expected to pay for everything in the past. If you can't spend like men in the past don't expect to live like them.

Aan Paavam Pollathathu is a film that dares to explore a side of domestic abuse that Tamil cinema rarely touches - the suffering of men within toxic relationships. While cinema has long and rightly highlighted the struggles faced by women, stories about male victims are almost never told. This film attempts to bring that conversation into the mainstream.
Some viewers online are criticizing the movie, arguing that it portrays women negatively. But the truth is that the film isn't about blaming one gender or glorifying the other - it's about showing that abuse, manipulation, and emotional suffering can happen to anyone, regardless of gender. The movie also highlights women's experiences, but its central narrative focuses on men who go unheard or disbelieved, and that perspective itself seems to make some people uncomfortable.
What matters is watching the film with an open mind. If you do, you'll find a story that is honest, emotional, and socially relevant. The performances are sincere, the writing is grounded, and the message is important: acknowledging men's pain does not take away from women's struggles - both can coexist.
Overall, Aan Paavam Pollathathu is a bold movie that brings balance to a conversation often seen from only one angle. Definitely worth watching.

Well made movie from the male point of view and their struggles. Rio and Malavika nailed their characters. Good dialogues. Initially thought acting was strange but later went well. Pseudo feminist will definitely feel the pinch. Jenson comedies were good and has good future (but pls don't accept any more drunkard characters or scenes) Cinematography & Music was good.
Negatives were, well known screenplay and climax, many scenes you might have already seen in other movies(irugapatru, Thalaivan thalaivi etc), vignesh acting was bit artificial or they should've went with some other actor(but his climax speech was good though), in this concept/screenplay so many comedies can be presented, but felt comedies are less, director should've focused more on screenplay and writing. Some good artists were under utilized (like deepa, Director venkatesh)Director did good job in his first movie. Must watch for all young couples or who are getting married soon! Can watch with family and friends.
