This is the best movie of the year and honestly 100% worth watching. The whole story feels so personal to me because I've gone through something very similar before, and it really made me think deeply about my future. This movie carries a powerful message: never give up, never stop your education no matter what situation you're in, and never let anyone control your dreams. Just let those people go and focus on chasing your own path. Every girl should watch this especially young girls and college girls because the impact and goosebumps this movie gives are truly unforgettable.

The girlfriend was kind of version of "the great indian kitchen". Not upto that level but the message was similar. Its about a simple girl who mistakenly fell into a relationship with a boy who is controlling and possessive. Basic patriarchy mentality which has been ingrained in most people in our society. How we treat female and own them defines what kind of person we are.

This film smoothly dealth with the topic with good acting from everyone, even the people who has small screen time.

I was really excited for this movie and yes it delivers in terms of being a Telugu movie it wasn't the typical action mass movie that tollywood churns out , it was breath of fresh air in that it explores a mentally abusive relationship between two widely different individuals. I also love that one friend who realizes how toxic Vicky is. The acting by rashmika who I'll be honest I hate because we always see her as the skin show girl with no chops in acting but here we see her in a different shade. Vicky is very charming yet aggressive where one wants him as the bf due to his protective nature but don't want him due to his outdated ideals of how today's woman should be and how controlling he is . It's ironic cause he wants to marry Bhooma and always take care of him but pressures her to sleep with him and kiss him before marriage.

The biggest problem with this movie is how deekshith never faces the consequences. For what he does with bhooma at the end we never see he and is friends being expelled. Nor do we see bhooma in her big spiel in the end about how toxic Vicky is instead she breaks up with him saying he has a lot of failed classes. She never tries to make him realize "hey you mentally abused me and think women are supposed to stay at home and endure abuse at the hands of the husband and is a misogynist" I would've loved to see deekshith have a sense of realization of what he's done. Bhooma just insults herself by saying she's had s..x with him.

The story itself abt an abused woman and controlling partner is seen a bunch of times in Hollywood.
