After finding this "world's worst movie" for a fiver, I expected to turn it off after 10 minutes max. But I ended up watching the whole thing and was actually quite entertained most of the time.
It's a series of short sketches tied together by a pitch meeting that goes "a bit" awry. The humor is definitely not for everyone, with plenty of toilet humor, absurdities, and the kind of stuff we probably remember best from Monty Python, Madrilen, and the like. It's amusing that they managed to get some very well-known names involved in the joke.
It's not a masterpiece, absolutely not, but there are laughs along the way, small smiles, and it's actually quite funny without being super amazing, yet also miles away from "the world's worst movie." I can certainly name so-called A-movies from both 2024 and 2023 that are significantly worse.

Personally find it entertaining. Easy to watch. If you take out the crappy base storyline with the 3 twits it's OK. I don't think people realise the point of this film. It's just a sketch movie. It's not meant to be a masterpiece. Millions of people watch sketches like this on YouTube everyday but may a movie well that's just ridiculous, calm down. It's way better than south park which is just swearing angry kids and sex.
I don't know, maybe I just have a strange sense of humor, but I thought this movie was funny. I always find it funny when serious actors do slapstick roles. I watched it several times and I still find it funny. I say if you like movies like Airplane or Blazing Saddles, just a hell of a lot nastier and rude, then this is the movie for you.
Ok I've never written a review on here before and it's painfully obvious as to how late I am. However, what did you people expect from this movie? The entire point of it is that it was different segments with not much of a plot just trying to get some laughs out of people and it was hilarious. What did you people want an Oscar worthy comedy? No it was never meant to be that. Just to make you laugh and it was funny. If you did not find it funny then I'm guessing you are somebody who still thinks SNL is funny. It's gross out humor. Cmon people the home schooled segment was great. My god relax and take this movie for what it is. Again just different segments that really don't have a point beyond creating humor. That's exactly what it did.
Hilarious. That's all I need. My type of humor. I laughed a lot. Most of the skits are so funny. Some are alright. Crazy how many famous actors are in this.
EDIT: Watching this again 11 years after it came out, I think I might have laughed even more. I don't care how many people poop on this movie (lol), it's absolutely hilarious. I was cracking up throughout at the utter stupidity on display.
I disagree with one thing in my original review, even the worst skits are very funny. Definitely funnier than anything coming out these days. Updating rating from 8 to 9 stars.
Hugh Jackman 9 stars.
Liev Schreiber 9 stars.
Chris Pratt 8.5 stars.
Emma Stone 7.5 stars.
Jason Bateman 8 stars.
Chloe Grace Moretz 7.5 stars.
Sean Williams Scott 7 stars.
Halle Berry 7.5 stars.
Terrence Howard 9 stars.
Elizabeth Banks 9 stars.
IPod commercial 8 stars.
Overarching story 8 stars.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe movie was filmed over a span of four years. Production took so long because filming had to be done around the actors' busy schedules. The segment with Kate Winslet and Hugh Jackman was the first to be filmed, and producer Charles B. Wessler used it to secure the financing for the rest of the movie. He called in a lot of favors to get as many high-profile actors as possible for the other short films, most of them willing to work for a few days on something unconventional. However, almost none of the actors knew completely what the other segments were about, or how the full movie would be. When it came out, none of the major actors wanted to promote it.
- ErroresIn the second segment, the guy is pouring coffee into a cup being held, after the scene change, the cup is on the coffee table.
- Citas
Nathan: [segment "Middleschool Date"] Hello, 9-1-1? Yeah, my friend is bleeding out of her vagina!
Dad (segment "Middleschool Date"): Nathan, Nathan, listen.
Nathan: Why are you laughing at me?
- Créditos curiososThe "Beezel" segment runs in between the segment credits and the rest of the credits.
- Versiones alternativasThe wraparound involving the segments being movie pitches was replaced in the UK Alternate Cut Version, released on the UK Blu-Ray, with an alternate wraparound about two teenagers and an 11-year-old trying to find the most banned movie in the world.
