Nicki Aycox, who played Meg Masters on The CW series Supernatural, died Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from her sister-in-law. She was 47.

“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side. Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was definitely a fighter, and everyone who knew her loved her,” Susan Raab Ceklosky wrote.

The Oklahoma native went public with her battle with leukemia. In March 2021, Aycox took to Instagram, saying, “I can’t believe my last [three] months. But, it makes sense now. I became very ill thinking I had covid in Jan and Feb. Well things came to a head. I ended up in a hospital diagnosed with [leukemia] I want everyone to know I’m doing incredibly well and fighting my way thru chemo.

Nicki Aycox, known for her role as Meg Masters on the CW series “Supernatural,” died on Nov. 16, her family announced. She was 47.

Aycox’s sister-in-law, Susan Raab Ceklosky, confirmed the news on Facebook on Nov. 17.

Born in Oklahoma on May 26, 1975, Aycox started off as a piano player, then shifted over acting when a financial setback forced her family to sell their piano. After acting in high school plays, she moved to California and enrolled in the theater department at Long Beach State.

Quintel, creator of the Emmy-winning Regular Show, and multi- generational family docusoap House of Ho, chronicling the daily lives of patriarch Binh Ho, matriarch Hue Ho, and their family. To top it off, HBO Max will debut Cartoon Network Studios' animated children's series Tig n' Seek with the U.S. premieres of the scripted comedy Frayed and the unscripted heartwarming British animal rescue series The Dog House.

HBO Max is out with its list of everything coming and going from the new streaming service, and the list includes the 2019 film “Harriet” starring Cynthia Erivo as Harriet Tubman.

The HBO Originals coming next month include season four of “Room 104,” HBO Europe’s “Foodie Love,” and documentaries like “Stockton on My Mind” and “Showbiz Kids.” Other films joining include “Motherless Brooklyn,” “Midway,” and “Last Christmas.”

Leaving at the end of the month are “Aquamarine,” “Crazy Rich Asians,” “Long Shot,” “Crimson Peak,” “The Sun Is Also a Star” and “X-Men.”

HBO Max is set to enter into its second month of existence. And you know what that means: it’s Christmas in July!

HBO Max’s list of new releases for July 2020 is highlighted by one prominent Christmas movie: last year’s Emilia Clarke-starring Last Christmas. But the real cause for Christmas in July is all the exciting animated DC content coming our way on the first of the month. July 1 sees the arrival of just about every animated Batman project ever created. July 1 also features the arrival of just about every Justice League animated series ever created as well.

If that weren’t enough, July 1 is also when every live-action Superman movie (save for Man of Steel) makes it streaming debut. July is starting to look like a month where HBO Max establishes its real potential and geek culture bonafides…despite an at-times difficult rollout.

When HBO Max launched last month, DC fans hoped it would be the premiere place to go to watch all their favorite DC content. While the streaming service did have an impressive array of films and TV shows available on launch, there were a lot of notable missing titles, too, due to pre-existing licenses getting in the way. As time goes on, though, more DC properties will end up on the site. Case in point: this July will see a whole heap of superhero content go up on HBO Max.

This will come in handy after the “Bachelorette” season finale in late July leaves us in desperate need of something else to watch.

Hellboy (July 23)

Don’t say we didn’t warn you. This year’s much-maligned Hellboy reboot is headed directly to Amazon Prime, less than three months after it unceremoniously left theaters. Maybe streaming from your living room, surrounded by a bunch of friends with a couple of beers in hand is the best possible way to view this. Besides, it’ll be a nice primer on the character before Netflix reboots the series a third time in the near future.

Amazon Prime Video has announced its new content offerings for July 2019, a list that includes five Amazon Original series and one Amazon Original movie. The service will also start streaming Epix’s new series “Pennyworth,” which takes a look at the early life of Batman’s famous butler Alfred, on July 28.

In terms of original series, “Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny” returns for Season 1B on July 5. Season 2 of “Comicstaan” airs July 12, while Season 4 of “All or Nothing” premieres July 19. Season 3 of “Dino Dana” and the series premiere of “The Boys” — a superhero comic book adaptation — are coming July 26.

The Amazon original movie “Peterloo” — a historical drama that chronicles one of that bloodiest chapter’s in Britain’s history — debuts July 3.

The horror landscape has changed rather drastically in the sixteen years since controversy magnet Victor Salva first introduced slasher-starved audiences to “the Creeper” (Jonathan Breck) and his taste for body parts in the ‘Jeepers Creepers‘ franchise. Since then, there’s been the rise of the torture porn sub-genre and filmmakers like Eli Roth and Rob Zombie, the supernatural found footage genre, an obnoxious onslaught of inferior remakes (fingers shall be pointed specifically at The Wicker Man, When a Stranger Calls and Black Christmas) and a needed return to form thanks to filmmakers like James Wan, David Sandberg and Jennifer Kent.

The Creeper appears every twenty-three years. This time, Jeepers Creepers III takes place between the previous two films: Jeepers Creepers (2001) and Jeepers Creepers II (2003). Unbelievably, it has been fourteen years since the first sequel. This time, the Creeper (Jonathan Breck) is attacking an entire town, while a Sergeant (Brandon Smith) tries to end the curse once and for all. On September 26th, the film will have a one day theatrical showing, across the United States. Now, a movie clip is available for the film and it is self-titled "Lift Off." The clip shows more of the Creeper. He pulls up in a familiar van, at night. Meanwhile, police officials are trying to stop his latest massacre. Screen Media Films has released a new trailer for Jeepers Creepers 3, which will get a one-night-only theatrical release from Fathom Events in theaters nationwide September 26. This trailer is a full minute longer than the first trailer that dropped two weeks ago, giving fans a better look at the iconic Creeper (Jonathan Breck), and those in the small town who band together to put an end to the Creeper's reign of terror once and for all. Jeepers Creepers 3 is a mystery wrapped in a riddle nestled inside a piece of human skin an enigma.

Much of that confusion comes down to the prolonged time gap between the long-brewing horror threequel and its predecessor – Jeepers Creepers 2, for instance, first took flight in 2003 – not to mention the heinous controversy involving franchise creator and director, Victor Salva. In short: the filmmaker was accused of sexual misconduct with a minor almost two decades ago, and served 15 months in state prison.
