This came on late one night, and I decided that I was in the mood for a crappy B-Movie, I ended up watching the whole thing. This isn't a good movie, but Madchen Amick looks good, and it has some funny moments like when the police bust in on a Senator getting dominated by a prostitute and they show it in slow-motion, it's hard to explain but really funny. Also, the plot twist is kind of cool. In conclusion, this movie is pretty lame, but that makes it somewhat funny, and not a total waste of time.
Last night I watched parts of a schlock horror movie that some friends of mine in Wichita, Ks were in that was made in the mid '60s. The people who MADE this little epic advise you not to watch it because it's so awful.
The only reason I mention that is because that TERRIBLE movie was better than this one !!!
The dialog,in this movie sounds like it was written by a 7th grader, it may, in fact set a record for the number of clichés in one movie.
The acting...well, what can I say ? Ryan O'Neal turns in his usual utterly bland, boring performance. Madchen Amick, whose on screen "talent" has always been directly related to how little she's wearing at the time, is dressed for the entire movie so she is , of course, desperately bad. Even an actor of the magnitude of Ben Gazzarra was bad in this movie.
When you add juvenile directing and very poor production values overall, well, the time you've spent reading this review is 4 times more time than you should give to this absolute waste of good film stock.

This movie was actually better than the synopsis indicates. I really didn't expect much of a story based on a prostitute making her client list public. Once I started watching, though, it was quite fascinating. However, I became confused by the profusion of names of characters that hadn't had much screen time. It made it difficult to follow who was doing what. Not a bad mystery, though.
The List (2000) with Ryan O'Neal is the worst! The worst of the worst!
Unlike the other user's comment, I was pulled in by the synopsis on the video-jacket. It was much better than the film. Seriously, don't waste your money!!! The writing was **utterly** cliché and boring. I wondered if perhaps an adolescent boy wrote and directed this one. The acting was stunted, awkward and just plain ol' bad. Who were the characters? Who cares!!! And the sets reminded me of 80's noir, with the lighting through mini-blinds - eeeeyuk!
I must have said, "why am I watching this??" about 6 times before rewinding. It wasn't sexy, it wasn't thrilling and it wasn't worth making.
Oh God it was so bad!!! Not even 'good' bad. Just bad.

This was a confusing movie. Not only were there too many characters, there were too many names and it was not clear who was who. I would not watch this movie again. Save yourself some time and watch something else.
