This movie is directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour) and stars Charlie Sheen (Major League), Chris Tucker (Fifth Element), Heather Locklear (The Return of Swamp Thing), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas), Elise Neal (Hustle & Flow) and David Warner (Titanic).
The storyline for this is all over the place and crazy, as you would expect for this genre. Christ Tucker is over the top and absolutely awesome. His voices, slang and body language is fantastic. Sheen was also a perfect costar due to his very different body language and demeanor. The soundtrack in this was outstanding. The jail scene, sequence at the in-laws house and the "snap and pop" line is legendary.
Overall this is an underrated comedic gem. I would score this a 7.5-8/10 and strongly recommend it.
This movie was just a good time. After seeing Rush Hour with Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, I wanted to go back and see earlier comedies with Chris Tucker in a starring role. (I already saw Dead Presidents, The 5th Element and Friday, but they either weren't comedies or he wasn't a starring character.)
Again, this movie was a good time. It doesn't deserve to win any awards, but it's just fun to watch. The entire cast offers great performances, while it's always good to see Paul Sorvino perform. While Tucker's character isn't exactly the nicest guy, the audience feels bad for him. The audience is made to feel that he does what he does because he has to. In his situation, I don't think many people would do otherwise. While he does take things to extremes, the movie wouldn't be as fun if he didn't.
I would recommend this movie to any comedy fan, "buddy movie" fan or fan of the actors.
Money talks is a good blend of Guns/Explosions and laughter. If your a fan of 48 Hours, Nothing To Lose or any other Action Comedy, Money talks is a must see.
7.4/10
Overall the whole movie is a great comedic flick and I definitely, definitely recommend this to the average person. Rating 10 out of 10.
¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe jail scene with Faizon Love listening to Chris Tucker explain his arrest, was not originally scripted. Love visited Tucker on set during the filming of that scene. The director expressed his uncertainty for the written scene, which had another man chasing Tucker around the cell. The director proposed that Love and Tucker do the scene. The two came up with dialog and movements, moments before filming. It took 89 takes to finalize that scene due to uncontrolled laughter from the actors and the director.
- ErroresThe scene in the Colosseum, Arron raises an AT4 (rocket launcher) to blow up the control booth, as he raises it, you can see through the tube. Obviously no rocket in the launcher. Also, AT-4s are not re-loadable, the launchers have one shot and then are discarded.

Franklin Hatchett: I will slap you man! I will slap the hell outta you. You don't know who you messin' with. I don't even know when I'm gonna slap somebody. My reflexes just slap people. I'm like damn why did I do that? I don't know when I be slapping people. I don't know when I'm gonna slap somebody. You keep messing with me. I'm dangerous! I'm scared of myself. They call me snap and pop cuz I will snap and I will pop yo ass in the mouth! Don't mess with me man. You better watch your back. Watch your goddamn back! Even in the shower! Even on picnics! You better watch your goddamn back. Make a right.
