100% Lobo

I honestly don't know why this film got such bad reviews. Me and my partner settled down to watch this with our kids (both aged 7) after they begged us. Originally we were put off by its low score but it ended up being brilliant! The storyline was funny - both our kids were laughing the whole way through. The storyline is easy for them to follow so no need to pause and explain anything. The only negative I can think of to say is that the animation wasn't as good as some movies but still good quality and watchable. If you're looking for an easy watching family film then I'd recommend giving this a go!

Watched this with my 6 year old...we both loved it! Reminded me of the Queen's Corgi, quite predictable but so enjoyable. Really made my son laugh and me too, in different places. Really cute and a good clean ending!

Pretty good, but the plot is mostly for kids, it's not very family friendly because as an adult I found it boring and too chaotic to watch.

100% Wolf is an animated film with a quirky premise that manages to entertain, though it falls short of being a standout. The story follows Freddy Lupin, a young werewolf who, instead of transforming into a fearsome wolf, turns into a poodle. The film's humor is often lighthearted and appealing to younger audiences, but the predictable plot and somewhat shallow character development may leave older viewers wanting more. Visually, the animation is colorful and lively, yet it doesn't push any boundaries. While 100% Wolf offers some fun moments and positive messages about self-acceptance, it lacks the depth and originality needed to make it truly memorable.

If we were living in 'normal' times I doubt 100% Wolf would have had a cinematic release here in the U.K. however, without any summer releases from the major Hollywood studios this Australian animation has its moment to shine on the big screen And shine it does. The animation is bright and breezy, the characters are all colourful and likeable and the voice cast is very good too. The chaotic story is fast paced and easy to follow for little ones but is still entertaining for adults too, even though it is a little predictable. It has a positive message as the narrative pushes the importance of what is happening on the inside rather than the outside. Plus there is plenty of silly humour to enjoy for both adults and kids alike.

I went to my local cinema with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised as was my seven year old daughter. It's nowhere near as polished or well crafted as a Disney or a Pixar animation however, it is just as good as anything from Illuminations, BlueSky or Sony Animations.

If you have a young family and you all want 90 minutes of escapism then 100% Wolf is worthy of your attention, especially since there is very little out there at the moment.

7/10 - A solid and enjoyable family frolic.
