There were no bombs, terrorists, FBI, war. But they coulmake it exciting in a mid-sized city with normal cops. There weren't genius good cops, but no idiot police with smart criminal hero either. There isn't a good side with talented and a bad side with idiots like in many Tv shows.
The actors weren't the best tho. Hackers weren't some international criminals, not conspirators.
It feels it could neraly happen in reality.👍
Hackerville is a gripping cyber-thriller series that blends crime, technology, and cultural contrasts into an engaging narrative. With an excellent script, solid direction, and a talented cast, the show stands out as one of the most well-executed European (Romanian) productions in recent years.
Story & Scenario The plot revolves around a major cyber-attack on a German bank, leading investigators to Romania - Lisa Metz (German police investigator, of Romanian origin) where a group of hackers is suspected. What follows is a high-stakes chase through the underground world of cybercrime, set against the backdrop of Timisoara's urban landscape. The scenario is masterfully crafted, blending tension, mystery, and social commentary. The pacing keeps viewers engaged, with well-placed twists that avoid clichés and instead deliver a fresh take on the hacker genre.
Casting & Performances One of Hackerville's greatest strengths is its cast. One of Hackerville's biggest strengths is its casting. Andi Vasluianu, in the role of Romanian cop Sandor, delivers a charismatic and grounded performance. His portrayal of a street-smart, no-nonsense officer adds authenticity to the series, making him a perfect contrast to Lisa's methodical German approach. The chemistry between them brings an extra layer of realism, with sharp dialogue and natural interactions.
Cipi, played by an outstanding young actor, steals the show as the genius, tech-savvy hacker. His character is layered and engaging-caught between the excitement of his digital skills and the dangers that come with them. His vulnerability and intelligence make him a compelling focal point of the story.
Supporting roles are equally strong, bringing authenticity to the series. The dynamic between investigators and local law enforcement adds a layer of realism, and the Romanian setting is used effectively, giving the show a distinctive atmosphere. The show doesn't just focus on hacking; it also gives us a bit of a nostalgic/eerie feeling, reminiscing the former communist era in Romania, anti-communist resistance, and giving us a glimpse of the fight against corruption, and organized crime.
Final Verdict With a compelling story, a well-crafted scenario, and excellent performances-especially from Andi Vasluiani and the supporting cast-Hackerville is a must-watch. It manages to combine cyber-thriller elements with strong character development, making it both exciting and emotionally engaging. Fans of crime dramas and tech-savvy thrillers will find Hackerville to be a refreshing and high-quality production.

Didn't fullfill my expectations, but it's a good binge if you are bored
Great series. I saw dat some people think that this is not realistic, but you don't live in Romania. This things actualy happens in Romania. This is how police act here. Everything is very realistic
I saw the second season from "Umbre" a couple of days ago and I gave this one a chance. From the first episode it seems pretty catchy with good acting and a nice story, inspired somehow from the reality. After the second episode, I can say that for sure I will watch it until the end and I recommend to you also.
