Finally a Bollywood movie, that can seriously draw comparisons with Hollywood flicks here!
A well executed piece of Action art that seriously surpassed my expectations! Considering the budget and the technology Bollywood have in hands ; this surely set the standards few notches up. The casting of Hrithik and Tiger made it much appealing too! They duly justified their respective roles. Locations, Cinematography, CGI all looked pretty good considering it's Bollywood. It's still not close of Hollywood regarding the Action pieces but I must admit it surprised me a lot with what it already had.
My complaints aren't in the execution or efforts of the makers but the Weaker Screenplay and Lack of character development here. Well there are numerous Flaws in in too alongside some typically over the top dramatized scenes. But those didn't bother me much! I expected a lot more depth and seriousness from the writing. Inclusion of unnecessary comedic elements or dialogues didn't help at all building up the story. We should have had Tension riling up in relevance to the strong premise it had but it rather became a Action Showcase where there's little to none severity.
I actually couldn't really feel the stakes here, And the weak writing was the cause of it. Storyline was Generic and predictable as usual but the ending twist shocked me to be honest! I never saw it coming.
It's not a film for everyone although We must appreciate what the makers have intended to do But the weaker prospect in Writing, Screenplay and character development ressisted me to "Love" it in the end.
So overall it's an One time watch but A really good one in that! Pure entertainer for the Action Lovers and yeah a Treat for hardcore Hrithik Fans.

War is nothing Bollywood has never seen before. It has good action, visual effects, directing, acting, cliche Bollywood masala songs and decent writing under one roof. There are a few good twists and turns throughout the movie which are both predictable and unpredictable. The VFX is very good and the bgm is also very good which helps the overall tone of the film. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff rocked in the leading roles and Vaani Kapoor gave a good performance in her small screen space. This is a movie which is taken like Mission Impossible and Fast and Furious which also has a few Bollywood masala. Overall, War is a good action thriller popcorn fun.
War
A really great Bollywood movie from start to finish it had the lot, labyrinthine plot, betrayal, treason, corruption brilliant action sequences and amazing dancing. On top of all this we had abs a plenty, no six packs they were eights or tens at least.

WAR - When the best intelligence service agent Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) goes rogue, his most able protege Khalid (Tiger Shroff) must step in to nab him. War is about why Kabir has gone rogue and what point Khalid has to prove, that will dovetail into a mouth watering duel between the industry's two best action heroes, unfolding on screen.
Director Siddharth Anand repeats the feat from Bang Bang, taking us on a globe trotting tour from Delhi to Malta, Morocco, Iraq, Portugal, Italy and finally the Arctic Circle (keeping Australia as the final cherry topping). War showcases some mind numbing, yet prolonged action and chase sequences that often start with us gawking, and then turn into "oh, come on now!" exclamations, testing our patience often. Both male leads put up their smug best faces, and while Hrithik gets a few opportunities to emote, Tiger manages to retain a deadpan expression barring the introduction sequence. But there's nothing to mind as War promised to be a lavishly mounted, high octane, glossy and technically superlative thriller, which it pretty much fulfills, leaving little or no opportunity for emotive skills. The action is exaggerated, but then with Hrithik and Tiger, you obviously didn't expect a love story to take home fond memories either. There's a particular fight sequence that is remarkable, where you can almost draw a comparison with a musical symphony, both the stars complementing each other as if a melifluous duet were being rendered. In contrast, the climax action sequence is gigantic, crude, bloody and violent. Watching them both execute "Jai Jai Shiv Shankar" in a song and dance is like human body in visual poetry, malleable and fluid - it's all paisa vasool stuff.
So coming back to the verdict, War is a superlative action thriller that reinforces Hrithik Roshan's capabilities as the best action hero India has, as well as catapults Tiger Shroff into the big league. It's a treat for fans. On the story front, there's enough spice and suspense as pieces slowly fall into place and characters reveal their true identities. But it isn't impactful enough as neither the characters have any depth nor does the screenplay leave any impression. It's all glitz, action and glamour without substance.
