First and foremost, this reviewer is a fan. I actually have a JCVD pick on my IMDb list of all time best movies, a claim few other reviewers can make. But, to be fair, this film raises existential questions that need to be asked. For example, this is the sequel ... to what? To a very forgettable action flick called KILL EM ALL which appeared in 2017 and ranked a whopping 4.3 on the IMDb rating system. JCVD was in his late 50's for that film. His action sequences were OK (after all, he IS the man!) but the rest of the movie was mainly filler. So why would you want to do a sequel to a film that very few saw, and even fewer remember? Especially when you are 7 years older and, to be frank, it shows in the closeups? Especially when you swapped out both the Director and the Writer? Especially when the budget for the sequel looks and feels even tighter than in the original? Once again, after a lot of waffle, when JCVD decides finally to kill everyone with a pulse, he still has the moves. But getting there is painful. In the opinion of this reviewer, this project was done simply to service the demand for streaming content, with no higher aspiractions. The man deserves a fitter end to a great career. Van Damme is not exactly young anymore, so doing big action movies may not be as easy as it once was. His last movie, Darkness of Man, was a slug to watch for me. I think i even watched it in 3 shots because how bored i was. But this one looked like a lot more fun by the trailer. So is it? Lets see.
Kill Em All was a mixed one for me. I was not particulary thrilled by the story and even then, a lot of fast jump cut were used to try to make the fights more entertaining. But at least the movie had action. Overall i still find it surprising they decided to do a sequel to an otherwhise very forgivable movie.
In this one, the story is as basic as you can think of. Brother of the bad guy in first movie want revenge for his brother's death. Where did i seen this before? Taken 2 and a bunch of other action flicks. Still its serviceable enough.
While the plot pretty much only serve to give context to the action, how does the movie fare on that side? Well its decent. There is a decent chuck of it, both hand to hand and with guns. That said, JCVD is not getting younger and at 70 years old can't move like he used to. Therefore a lot of camera tricks are used. Jump cuts, close shots so they can hide the body double, stuff like that. Still you gonna recognize Van Damme doing some of it at least.
This is i think as best as you gonna get for Van Damme at his age when it comes to action and entertainement. Of course this is a direct to VOD movie done with a small budget, so i do think if Van Damme would star in a bigger production, there would still be ways to make a better action movie. But i don't see this happening again. In the context of VOD, this was decent.
Its a movie i would only recommand to fans of JCVD and peoples who watch tons of VOD low budget action flicks like myself. Guys who are fine with smaller budgets and don't expect a John Wick or Nobody type of movie. If you are just a casual movie viewer, you can pass this one.

First of all let me say I have always liked Jean Claude. Usually his movies are pretty entertaining. But when I started to watch this one I was extremely disappointed. I don't know why they used an very untalented amateur cameraman. The extreme close ups the bouncing of the camera, etc. I mean when they bounce a camera in an attempt to give the feeling of people bouncing while riding in a car or when people are fighting and you shake the camera to an extent it makes the audience dizzy. These are signs of not only a very very poorly made movie but one with a budget of about twenty dollars. If I was Jean Claude I would demand the movie be deleted before his entire reputation is ruined. Where does the cameraman, director or whoever makes these decisions get the dumb idea that filming very close up or shaking a camera gives good affects? These are people that should NOT be making decisions period. I tried to watch the whole movie, I really did, but I just could not. I got tired of being forced to look at people's pores or watching people shaking all over the screen until it made me dizzy. When I take photos of people I try my best to center them in the picture without cutting off their body parts but with this movie they consistently removed the tops of their heads. My advice, BACK UP!
I guess All of 'Em weren't killed the first time around after all. Jean-Claude OldMan, his Electra-complex daughter and some simple villagers from the Flemish part of Slovenia team up to take on some Russian mafia ... vampires? Maybe?
JCVD and/or his stuntman still has the chops to sell some of the action and the script isn't entirely formulaic (only mostly formulaic); but this mashup between revenge action and heist movie still feels small, cheap and rushed. There are low stakes and no arcs for the cardboard characters. Peter Stormaire delivers possibly the worst performance of his storied career. Overall this feels like a throwback to mid-1990s straight-to-video content. Unfortunately it's less of a fun, campy throwback and more like something from The Steven Segal Collection gathering cobwebs in a forgotten corner of Blockbuster Video.

This sequel is set seven years after the events of the first movie. Retired CIA spy Phillip (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and his daughter, Vanessa (Jacqueline Fernandez) are living off grid in small Italian village.
Now (Vlad Petrovic) has tracked them down. Now he wants revenge for the death of his Serb paramilitary warlord older brother Demitri who was killed by Phillip in the first movie.
Phillip finds himself on the run and allies himself with Holman (Peter Stormare.) Both used to work together but is Holman someone you can trust?
This is a weak action thriller. The script and action scenes do not amount to much. The scenery is nice.
You have to hand JCVD one thing. He really has taken a moral stance on the outcome of the breakup of the former Yugoslavia and the atrocities that were committed.
