Why shraddha kapoor?!!...why her..why not vidya balan or someone else.she totally acted like a dead woman with no expression on her face.the only thing which is relevant to the real life character is the makeup on her face. The screenplay was very bad and the dialogue delivery is very slow that you will sleep halfway through the movie.the background music is okay but similar to every other gangster movie out there. The only reason i have given 2 stars instead of 1 star is the story.if anurag kashyap would have directed it.this movie could would have been a masterpiece like gangs of waseypur. Overall this movie is very boring and the story narration was very bad and outdated.
After watching many splendid gangster movies this one didn't met the criteria at all.
It is a good and watchable movie. Story is real life event story so I don't have to say much on it. Acting were super. Shraddha acting was good.
According to me it is one time watchable movie. I watched it because there was lot of hype whenever I read newspaper. But I don't think people will spent time watching story of real life person movie or maybe people would watch to know rise of Dawood Ibrahim and Haseena Parker. Anyways movie is interesting. Go if you want to watch.
Thank you.

Where the movie begins with a courtroom drama with flashback versions of the main story. Right from the first scene, the entire courtroom drama is jarring, clichéd and baseless. The lawyer despite of not having a single witness keeps arguing for hours and screams on top of her voice. These scenes are worst scenes of the film where a courtroom drama seems like a TV news channel's breaking story. There are some light moments related to Ankur Bhatia which fails to go with the flow of the film. Siddhant Kapoor's entry into crime world is shown in flashes and it's left on the audience to remember his character from all the movies we have seen in the past (Shootout At Wadala, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, etc). The story fails to grab your attention and keeps wobbling at every level. Ankur's assignation scenes, police interrogating Shraddha, Shraddha's humiliation, her son's track and such scenes are forcefully stretched to the fullest only to make you feel the pain of her character. The second half starts with the super slow narration. The pace of the film suddenly drops as Shraddha starts aging. It was tough to decide that what was more lethargic - her dialogue delivery, background music or the minimal screenplay happenings. The transformation part was all of sudden and lacked the conviction factor. Shraddha's family members get happy when she fires someone or tries to show her power. On the positive side, Siddhant's fight scene along with his initial bonding scenes with Shraddha are decent among the worst. The transformation of Shraddha, from a naive girl to a powerful one is bit interesting. Besides, these few tiny scenes there is nothing much worth cherishing in this over glorified drama. The dialogues are horrible. There is a scene in which a goon tells to a prostitute 'Agar main Tamara Saab baat manga, to tum Mari izzat karna band kar dogi'. Well, that's the caliber and the mind- set of this film. The cinematography is decent and has nothing much to boast.
Director Apoorva Lakhia made a good gangster drama 'Shootout at Lokandwala' and thus one does expect him to deliver a decent film this time. Sadly, he ends up making a melodramatic film, which in order to glorify these criminals, ends up mimicking them. There is no soul in this film. The narrative pattern is outdated and courtroom drama scenes were lower than the standards of all the b- grade crime based shows on T.V. On one side you show Haseena as Dawood's sister, but in the entire film, there is not even a single verbal mention of the name Dawood Ibrahim. This is the level of our so called bio-pics and we try to compare films like 'Daddy' to web series like 'Narcos'.
Shraddha Kapoor tries hard to slip inside the skin of her character. She mildly succeeds, but fails majorly. Her mumps type face looks terrible. It's so bad that the moment she starts talking you will feel that the stuffed cotton inside her face might fall out. Siddhant Kapoor displays the weakest Dawood Ibrahim even seen in our Hindi films. The short height, beard looks resembled Shakti Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav more than Dawood Ibrahim. In the second half of the film, all of sudden he starts calling Shraddha as beta and that's when you have an unintentional laugh. Ankur Bhatia looks decent, but hardly has any role to perform. Priyanka Sethia as the screaming lawyer will make blood come out of your ears due to her shrilling voice and irritating melodramatic performance. Every dialogue of her reminds you of those popular T.V hosts saying 'Gaur Se dekhiye ISS shakes KO..'. The actor who plays the role of Judge in the movie keeps smiling even in the intense scenes.

I have a few questions for people who made this film (actors, director etc). Have you guys seen movies like satya and company? Either try to show the reality or show drama. Show the reality and let that create drama. Also, Shraddha's dialogue delivery in the court scenes, is similar to Amitabh Bachhan's in Agneepath, which is ridiculous, cause agneepath was not based on true story and it was made in the 90s. Siddhant kapoor, please find a different profession.
Bottom line, ridiculous movie and performance. But you should watch it just to find out how bad the movie is. :P :P
