Where the movie begins with a courtroom drama with flashback versions of the main story. Right from the first scene, the entire courtroom drama is jarring, clichéd and baseless. The lawyer despite of not having a single witness keeps arguing for hours and screams on top of her voice. These scenes are worst scenes of the film where a courtroom drama seems like a TV news channel's breaking story. There are some light moments related to Ankur Bhatia which fails to go with the flow of the film. Siddhant Kapoor's entry into crime world is shown in flashes and it's left on the audience to remember his character from all the movies we have seen in the past (Shootout At Wadala, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, etc). The story fails to grab your attention and keeps wobbling at every level. Ankur's assignation scenes, police interrogating Shraddha, Shraddha's humiliation, her son's track and such scenes are forcefully stretched to the fullest only to make you feel the pain of her character. The second half starts with the super slow narration. The pace of the film suddenly drops as Shraddha starts aging. It was tough to decide that what was more lethargic - her dialogue delivery, background music or the minimal screenplay happenings. The transformation part was all of sudden and lacked the conviction factor. Shraddha's family members get happy when she fires someone or tries to show her power. On the positive side, Siddhant's fight scene along with his initial bonding scenes with Shraddha are decent among the worst. The transformation of Shraddha, from a naive girl to a powerful one is bit interesting. Besides, these few tiny scenes there is nothing much worth cherishing in this over glorified drama. The dialogues are horrible. There is a scene in which a goon tells to a prostitute 'Agar main Tamara Saab baat manga, to tum Mari izzat karna band kar dogi'. Well, that's the caliber and the mind- set of this film. The cinematography is decent and has nothing much to boast.
Director Apoorva Lakhia made a good gangster drama 'Shootout at Lokandwala' and thus one does expect him to deliver a decent film this time. Sadly, he ends up making a melodramatic film, which in order to glorify these criminals, ends up mimicking them. There is no soul in this film. The narrative pattern is outdated and courtroom drama scenes were lower than the standards of all the b- grade crime based shows on T.V. On one side you show Haseena as Dawood's sister, but in the entire film, there is not even a single verbal mention of the name Dawood Ibrahim. This is the level of our so called bio-pics and we try to compare films like 'Daddy' to web series like 'Narcos'.
Shraddha Kapoor tries hard to slip inside the skin of her character. She mildly succeeds, but fails majorly. Her mumps type face looks terrible. It's so bad that the moment she starts talking you will feel that the stuffed cotton inside her face might fall out. Siddhant Kapoor displays the weakest Dawood Ibrahim even seen in our Hindi films. The short height, beard looks resembled Shakti Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav more than Dawood Ibrahim. In the second half of the film, all of sudden he starts calling Shraddha as beta and that's when you have an unintentional laugh. Ankur Bhatia looks decent, but hardly has any role to perform. Priyanka Sethia as the screaming lawyer will make blood come out of your ears due to her shrilling voice and irritating melodramatic performance. Every dialogue of her reminds you of those popular T.V hosts saying 'Gaur Se dekhiye ISS shakes KO..'. The actor who plays the role of Judge in the movie keeps smiling even in the intense scenes.

I always hated Shootout at Wadala but D-Day was a good Dawood Ibrahim film. If Apoorva Lakhia wanted to make something about Ibrahim's sister, mind as well convert it into an Amazon Prime TV Series and help people save their pocket allowances.
So Haseena Parkar a.k.a Papa is Dawood Ibrahim's older sister and unfortunately I don't want to explain more about the cringe worthy plot so thank you.
Quite frankly, this film undoubtedly sucked eggs in different ways to cook it but this one was underdone completely. The film had no novelty in it and the gripping factors that were meant to be in a gangster film were so low.
The clichéd direction and the abominated cinematography brought the film down. If you picture yourself watching this film thinking that you might get an inside scope of Haseena Parkar, all you're doing is wasting time.
Most of the film takes place in the courtroom which becomes a snoozer
The acting in this movie was absolutely atrocious to say the least.
I don't understand if Apoorva Lakhia thought that casting Shraddha Kapoor to play Haseena Parkar would be a fantastic idea. Unfortunately, Lakhia was phenomenally stupid at doing so. Her performance was like on a repeat towards what she gave in OK Jaanu and Baaghi.
Siddhant Kapoor was also a total abomination and who'd ever though that he could fit Ibrahim's part in the film. Well, the size was too small and out of stock.
The music was horrible. Sachin-Jigar, what were you smoking while you guys were composing you're music especially what you did to Gentleman.
Overall, this movie was crap. Right from the script to the acting to the music to the cinematography to everything. My advice to all the crazy movie goers like me, anyone craving for a Dawood Ibrahim film should make their way to their local DVD stores instead of the theater and purchase yourself a Blu-ray of D-Day because it is money well spent.
1.5/5- You people give this genre a bad name.

I have a few questions for people who made this film (actors, director etc). Have you guys seen movies like satya and company? Either try to show the reality or show drama. Show the reality and let that create drama. Also, Shraddha's dialogue delivery in the court scenes, is similar to Amitabh Bachhan's in Agneepath, which is ridiculous, cause agneepath was not based on true story and it was made in the 90s. Siddhant kapoor, please find a different profession.
Bottom line, ridiculous movie and performance. But you should watch it just to find out how bad the movie is. :P :P

Why shraddha kapoor?!!...why her..why not vidya balan or someone else.she totally acted like a dead woman with no expression on her face.the only thing which is relevant to the real life character is the makeup on her face. The screenplay was very bad and the dialogue delivery is very slow that you will sleep halfway through the movie.the background music is okay but similar to every other gangster movie out there. The only reason i have given 2 stars instead of 1 star is the story.if anurag kashyap would have directed it.this movie could would have been a masterpiece like gangs of waseypur. Overall this movie is very boring and the story narration was very bad and outdated.

Replace the lead with Vidya Balan and u have a 8 star movie. This is how bad the acting was. Dont know y the director couldnt see this from the start. Shraddha kapoor coudnt do justice to the character. the role was so strong and it needed a great deal of awesomeness in acting.

I don't understand why this movie is so underrated. Director had a firm grip on the subject. Only for serious watchers.
It is a good and watchable movie. Story is real life event story so I don't have to say much on it. Acting were super. Shraddha acting was good.
According to me it is one time watchable movie. I watched it because there was lot of hype whenever I read newspaper. But I don't think people will spent time watching story of real life person movie or maybe people would watch to know rise of Dawood Ibrahim and Haseena Parker. Anyways movie is interesting. Go if you want to watch.
Thank you.

Shraddha's acting was great, she resembled the part of haseena's misery after she had lost her loved one's well, I've never seen her breaking her mainstream movies kind of persona before and seeing her in this role felt refreshing.
I've never heard the story of Dawood Ibrahim and the movie was really informative and got me curious to read and learn more about it. It's a good starting point!
Apart from the weak lawyer's takes and the poor judge acting everything else run a smooth story line.
Don't listen to the bad reviews, this movie is worth spending a 2 hrs and 15 mins of your life on.

#HaseenaParkar is a decent film, Shraddha Kapoor performs well, in a de-glamorized role. But the film attempts to show her as a victim of circumstances, not as a criminal. Seems she is being harassed just because she is the sister of the "most wanted" Bhai. She is always supportive of his actions n refuses to believe that he would try to destroy a city where his own family resides. Ankur, who plays her husband, also performs well. Hope to see more of this actor. Siddhanth is good as the deadly Bhai. The locations look authentic. Rating 2.5/5.

Cinema has a lot of advantages if we look at the positive side. It is said to be a reflection of the society only. So, it helps us come face to face with the actuality of what's happening in our society. It portrays things as they are and helps in opening our eyes to issues we may have well ignored in the past.
Similarly, it helps people socialize better. It connects people and helps break the ice. People often discuss cinema to start a conversation or more. Moreover, it is also very interesting to talk about rather than politics and sports which is often divided.
Above all, it also enhances the imagination powers of people. Cinema is a way of showing the world from the perspective of the director, thus it inspires other people too to broaden their thinking and imagination.
Most importantly, cinema brings to us different cultures of the world. It introduces us to various art forms and helps us in gaining knowledge about how different people lead their lives.

Haseena Parkar"Edge of Tomorrow" delivers a thrilling blend of sci-fi action and Groundhog Day-style repetition, with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt shining in their roles. The movie's innovative concept keeps viewers engaged, though the plot occasionally dips into predictability. After a long a great movie for me. A well crafted movie with simple and elegant art work of cinema. The story and screenplay is top notch. If a person likes good movie , he must see such films as this. I just watched the film today which was released way before but worth watching. I could connect all the characters with me as well in my life. So overwhelming movie. Seems , we missed out real good movies .
The movie may have few small errors.
But the plot wins over our emotions.
All charcters did well in the movie. An exceptional Performance by all the crew members of the unit which made this movie possible.

I don't know why this movie got a lot of bad reviews. But it actually shows the 60% related history of Bombay Gangsta then 1980s. The sound system was fantastic. Some histories are still manipulated but we have to accept it because it's a movie. I read a lot of articles regarding Dawod Ibrahim and Pathan gang. I believe the movie is 60% related to the actual scenario. It was a good movie indeed.
We want more gangsta movies like this from the producers.

Well, I gave that title because it's true. This movie doesn't have that adult humour or fake action or all those other super actors therefore not many will admire it but I think the main actress has done an amazing work. It's an interesting story. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
