What is the cost for freedom?
From Bangladesh to West Bengal.. to Sweden.. to so many places to lose count- the woman flies or flees. So that she can live, so that she can write what she thinks. So that she can sleep at night.
Her mind stays with her country, with her people. People, are they ready to accept her writing, accept anything that varies from the typical path of thinking?
Banished from her land, this writer's experience was the plot of this movie. The air of the movie held the depression of the writer, held her emotions- which I liked very much. Sometimes European music on the background, sometimes Bangla, it presented a very thoughtful atmosphere. It questions the spectators, whoever you are watching, can you live in this exile too?
The recitations of Bengali poetry throughout the movie brought extra charm. I was optimistic to watch this direction of Churni Ganguly and she amazed me so much! Such a good plot and good polish by the director. I would recommend this beautiful piece to you. Let's not forget a writer is an ordinary person. Let's not let the sword win.
