Firefighter Documentary ‘Black Sunday’ In The Works From Eric Hosmer, Luke Wheatley & Shane Abbess
Image
Exclusive: Twenty years ago, the Fdny (New York Fire Department) suffered one of the darkest days in its history with multiple deaths across different incidents. It was known as Black Sunday.

This tragedy is being commemorated with a new feature documentary from former MLB star Eric Hosmer, Australian filmmaker Shane Abbess (The Beast in Me) and director Luke Wheatley (Grounded).

It also comes as firefighters have played a central, and inspiring role, in the wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles over the last two weeks.

Black Sunday tells the story of a group of New York City firefighters who faced one of the most devastating events for the Fdny since September 11. It recounts the impact of the day, which saw three firefighters die in two fires, one a tenement fire in the Bronx and one at a house fire in Brooklyn. It marked the first time that firefighters had died...

Better Watch Out Red Band Trailer Promises One Killer Christmas
Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern in Mi pobre angelito (1990)
Well Go USA has released a new age-restricted red band trailer and an all-ages green band trailer for the upcoming Better Watch Out, which puts a sadistic spin on the 1990s classic Home Alone. While this is certainly not a remake of Home Alone, this Christmas thriller has been described by critics as "Home Alone meets The Strangers," and there's even a Home Alone reference in the trailer, where Ed Oxenbould's Garrett mentions that Levi Miller's Luke is "Home Aloning" Ricky (Aleks Mikic), tossing a weighted paint can tied to a rope, that connects with Jeremy's face. If that wasn't enough, we also have a new poster as well.

The red band trailer is age-restrictive, and shouldn't be watched by any one under the age of 18, featuring no shortage of adult language and blood. If naughty language isn't your thing, then we also have the green band trailer from Well Go USA YouTube,...

Screen Australia will invest in Holding The Man, an adaptation of a popular gay memoir from director Neil Armfield (Candy), and A Long Way Home, from Garth Davis, Jane Campion’s co-director on the series Top Of The Lake.
