This super-intense and nerve-wracking thriller could have been a docu-drama on contemporary politics and corruption. A film with clean images, inspiring actors and frenetic music, which depicts a genre-defining car crash that comes out of nowhere. Those who have seen the film will have already guessed it, the Critics Award 2019 goes to the Spanish film THE REALM (EL REINO) by Rodrigo Sorogoyen."
