Sister of actress Rika Davids, actor Louis Davids and musician Hakkie Davids.

In 1943 both her sister Rika and her brother Hakkie died in the gas chambers of Sobibor.

Known in the Netherlands for the Heintje Davids effect. This refers to the fact of her leaving the stage and stopping her career and then returning after some time. She did this multiple times.

She was rewarded a ring for her career performance by the community of Rotterdam in 1984. This ring was passed on to another artist of the wearers choice and is considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the Netherlands! It's called the Davids ring in remembering the artist family Davids from Rotterdam of which she was the last living member. In 1954 the ring was passed to Wim Kan, in 1976 it was passed to Herman van Veen and in 2015 it was passed to Claudia de Breij.
