Roger’s longtime manager, Meryl Soodak, confirmed the actor’s death to Variety.

She told ABC that Rogers’ portrayal of Scorpio in the soap opera “meant everything to him.” She added, “He loved being Scorpio, and he created that role from nothing. He was supposed to work a day, and he ended up making it into something huge. He was just a genuinely loyal, kind human being, and he loved his family.

The realm of The Traitors is expanding — in both who gets to play the game and where the show runs.
NBC has picked up a version of the game that will feature civilian players, rather than the reality TV veterans and other celebrities who have populated Peacock’s iteration of The Traitors. Alan Cumming, who hosts the Peacock show, will also lead the NBC version.
Production on the network’s version is set to begin next year; the show is taking applications for potential contestants now. There’s no word yet on an airdate.
Peacock will continue streaming its iteration of The Traitors for at least two more seasons. The show has been renewed through its fifth installment, and season four has announced its cast.

Steve Martin celebrated his landmark 80th birthday on Thursday, and he marked the occasion by spending the day shooting a scene at Disneyland. Speaking on Saturday at the Television Academy’s Televerse festival, Martin shared why filming at that location, on that day, meant so much to him.

Bryan Cranston has quelled speculation that his performance as the boss on Apple TV+’s “The Studio” was based on Warner Brothers CEO, David Zaslav. “I did a deep dive on (Zaslav) and I thought, ‘Well, he’s so boring,'” Cranston told the audience on Saturday at the Television Academy’s Televerse festival. “There’s nothing funny about David. How do you cast a cultural phenomenon like “The Studio”? For creator and star Seth Rogen, it was incredibly easy — until it wasn’t.
Appearing on an FYC panel for the show at the TV Academy’s inaugural Televerse festival alongside co-stars Kathryn Hahn, Chase Sui Wonders, Bryan Cranston, and Dave Franco and executive producer James Weaver, Rogen broke the casting process down into two buckets. He explained that assembling the permanent cast members was a delight, as he simply flipped through his list of dream collaborators and built the best ensemble he possibly could.
“For the main cast, we really had in our heads who we wanted it to be. And in my head I was like, ‘I’m assembling like a jazz band and I’m kind of the drummer and I need everyone to be able to do their roles in the band impeccably,’” Rogen said. “And so I love Kathryn Hahn.

Tap(per), tap(per)… is this thing on? CNN anchor Jake Tapper got snippy with someone offscreen in a hot-mic moment viewers witnessed on air on Friday, August 15. The awkward moment came during Tapper’s program The Lead as the anchor reported live from Anchorage, Alaska, as part of CNN’s ongoing coverage of U.S. President Donald Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the CNN studio, Tapper’s colleague Anderson Cooper paused a conversation with John King to check in with Tapper. “Let’s go back to Jake in Anchorage. Jake?” Cooper said, as seen in an online clip. Cut to: Tapper looking miffed as he spoke to someone offscreen, presumably a producer in the control room. “I’m fine,” he said, testily. “Just give me my show back.” Cooper, watching the hot-mic moment unfold, smiled and said, “Your show’s back,” as someone in the studio laughed.

He may have had aspirations of becoming a novelist, but he was practically laughed out of a publisher’s office for his bad writing. [Warning: The below contains spoilers for Deadliest Catch Season 21.] A storm was brewing during the August 15 episode of Deadliest Catch. We started about 240 miles from the Dutch Harbor where Johnathan Hillstrand could feel the waters becoming more violent aboard the Time Bandit. There were reports of Typhoon Kong-Rey barreling towards Alaska, which meant vessels faced potential 30-foot waves and new levels of danger for the crew. “We’re not the kind of guys that quit,” Johnathan said, undeterred by Mother Nature’s fury. His wife Heather had utter terror on her face. Johnathan instructed the team to take it slow with safety in mind. That’s easier said and done when the pots are filled with king crab. They all faced a big swell but remained determined to make it through. The big scores kept coming, but that didn’t stop the long-time captain from missing his friend Sig Hansen. This dream team initially worked together...

Running Pointwas a slam dunk when it came out last spring, so it came as no surprise when the basketball comedy was swiftly renewed for a second season. Kate Hudson celebrated the start of Season 2’s production with a selfie on Instagram featuring co-stars Brenda Song, Justin Theroux, Scott MacArthur, Drew Tarver, and Fabrizio Guido back in action.
Season 1 follows Isla Gordon (Hudson) after she’s unexpectedly appointed president of her family business, the Los Angeles Waves basketball team. With best friend and chief of staff Ali (Brenda Song) by her side, Isla navigates the antics of the male-dominated basketball world with no help from her chaotic brothers or unruly players, including live-wire rapper Travis Bugg (Chet Hanks) and accomplished star player Marcus Winfield (Toby Sandeman). Despite their best efforts, in the season finale, the Waves lose the championship game, and Isla finds...

Better Call Saul may still be finding new fans through streaming, but did you know it’s also celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2025? While the exact day of the anniversary may have passed on February 8, having debuted on that day in 2015, the show celebrates another milestone on August 15, as the three-year anniversary of the series finale, “Saul Gone.” The series initially kicked off as a Breaking Bad prequel, but it quickly grew into a pop culture phenomenon in its own right, winning even the most skeptical fans over with Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) colorful journey from an underdog lawyer trying to shed his con-artist reputation as “Slippin’ Jimmy,” a name coined by his brother Chuck (Michael McKean), into the Saul Goodman viewers came to know in Breaking Bad. The show also steadily revealed the aftermath post-Breaking Bad as Jimmy went into hiding under the alias Gene Takavic, particularly in its final season.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift recently announced that her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released on Oct. 3. Since then, fans have been combing the track list for clues as to what each song will be about. Swift, who’s keeping mum on the finer details, also confirmed that singer Sabrina Carpenter (who toured with Swift on a leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour) will feature on the title track, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
So what is a showgirl in the eyes of T. Swift? Traditionally, the term refers to a chorus girl at a performance venue or nightclub, à la 2024’s The Last Showgirl starring Pamela Anderson — which reclaimed the word after the 1995 film Showgirls (in which Elizabeth Berkley starred as an aspiring showgirl turned stripper) gave it a more divisive edge. The word evokes stage presence, bedazzled outfits, and bright lights in...

Few details about the Yellowstone Beth and Rip spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser have been confirmed. What we do know is that it’s in production, and that Reilly, Hauser, and Finn Little are set to reprise their roles as Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler, and Carter in the spinoff. A Texas news outlet reported that a Yellowstone spinoff called Rio Palo was filming in Ferris, Texas. If Rio Palo sounds unfamiliar, it should. No show with that name has been announced for the Yellowstone TV universe. An MTV rep recently clarified that the so-called Rio Palo that’s filming in Ferris is not a show by that name, but rather the still-untitled Beth and Rip spinoff. The last fans saw Beth and Rip, they were living in Montana on a new ranch with Carter. That ranch was said to be about 40 miles outside of Dillon, which is just...

Xavier Woods isn’t just looking for a win on this week’s WWE Raw — he’s looking to settle a very expensive score. The New Day star says Penta owes him a whopping $18,000 for damaging what he calls his “favorite hat.” The bad blood is boiling over into a one-on-one match that promises as much personal drama as in-ring action.
The Aug. 18 episode, streaming live on Netflix from Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, also features appearances by Roman Reigns, Cm Punk, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, and more — but make no mistake, all eyes in the building will be on that hat.
