- Met James Dean when both appeared in the film Qué suerte tiene el marino (1952). Richard subsequently left acting to work as an agent at the Famous Artist Agency. He later represented not only Dean, but such up-and-coming stars as Tab Hunter, Jane Fonda, Clint Walker, Angie Dickinson, Tuesday Weld, Richard Chamberlain and Harrison Ford. He also served as Burt Reynolds' personal manager for over 20 years.
