As of September 2001, still the only skateboarder to pull off a 900 in competition, which he has done multiple times.

Is the first skateboarder to do 'The 900' skateboarding trick, which requires two and half turns in the air on a vert ramp. He is the first and only skateboarder to date who has successfully done this trick. He has done 'The 900' over 15 times.

Has been a professional skateboarder since he was 15.

His all-time favorite movie is El gran Lebowski: Identidad peligrosa (1998).

Father of Riley Hawk, who helped Ashton Kutcher play a practical joke on Tony for Punk'd (2003). The elder Hawk grounded his son for the prank.

I love the fact that there is now a skate park in almost every city, but it will always have a rebellious/underground edge to it because it is based on individuality.

I love snowboarding, but I would never want to do it competitively or at a professional level. Snowboarding is a spawn of skating, and skating is my passion.
