Samuel Brent Oscar Riegel

On September 11, 2001, Riegel and his wife Quyen witnessed the attacks on the World Trade Center. At one point, the couple was caught in the dust cloud formed by the collapse of the South Tower, but eventually escaped to Battery Park, where they witnessed the collapse of the North Tower in silence. Riegel's wife, Quyen Tran, captured video footage that was featured in several documentaries.

In 2018, Sam won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing in an Animated Program for his work on Danger & Eggs (2015).

Has voice directed one Emmy Award-winning performance: Mark Hamill in Elena de Ávalor (2016): Coronation Day (2020).

Older brother of Eden Riegel and younger half-brother of Tatiana S. Riegel
