While his situation is far more extreme than mine ever has been, I think being so physically different from birth always sets you up to live on the edges of society. You are constantly battling to own your space in the world.

My wife has always been crazy supportive. And she's not in the arts. She's a teacher. I think what attracted her to me was this actor side of me that wants to go off and try new things. But that's also the part that drives her crazy, because then I have to travel. It's been hard, but we've gotten through it.
